Random Commanders Thoughts

You answered your own question. Since when has there ever been anything to his rumors.

I'm positive I said I didnt put much stock in it. Why the need to reiterate? Personally, I hate the guy but thought news like that may be something the board might be interested given recent events.

stay chill. Be at peace my freind

Shanahan scheduled to talk to reporters during his normal weekly news conference at 3 p.m.

Okay, so Shanahan is in control publicly and then allows Snyder to dictate the future with mega personnel moves behind the scenes?

I have to laugh a bit, there are a legion of Shanahan supporters out there from his glory days including Sharpe and Schlereth on ESPN that have their old Coach's back.

Never mind he has only won ONE playoff game since 2000.

Look at Parcells in Dallas. He worked with an overbearing owner who publicly admitted he viewed himself as the team's personnel guru, and still Bill was able to steer the ship so that Dallas was back to being a playoff team on several occasions. The 13-3 season in 2007 was set up by what Bill did from 2004-2006.

oh snap, per kevin sheehan and thom lovero, per their source they say they trust

whole staff cleaned out
bruce allen promoted to president of football operations
AJ smith promoted from consultant to General Manager (former Chargers general manager, respected throughout the league)
Lovie Smith hired as head coach
Terry Shea hired as O coordinator (Thank you to Ax for name correction, he was the guy that spent 3 months preparing Griffin for his pro day coming out of college. Also worked with Stafford, Bradford, and others)

Holy crap!

Lovie Smith got to a a Super Bowl with Rex Grossman.

He should have a monument built somewhere.

Terry Shea.

I just posted the same thing in another thread.

One whole minute before you.

So, back off man!

Terry Shea.

Thank you!

I actually like this idea. A lot. I think it solves a lot of our biggest problems and would be a real solid course correction.

Tha's because Bill knows the value of smash mouth Offensive linemen. HE did the same thing in Miami. Shanny likes undersized turnstiles

This was suggested on an open forum via Email. It's a hypothetical submitted by someone who apparently has a little insight to the organization. The person who suggested this, as they have stated, was connecting dots, and the scenario would make sense... They trust the guy as someone who doesn't make stuff up, but I don't think there is any TRUE action behind this... yet

Whatever you think of the individuals, the fact is this would be the first time since 1999 that we had a 'normal' organizational structure with President, GM and HC roles defined.

Thats an awful lot of fine detail for mere speculation. Honestly, Im bummed that it isnt more fact if thats the case. I actually started feeling a tiny grain of excitement for once in the mast few months.

add: I believe what you are saying though

I would prefer to see Shanny gone this week but it looks as if we may have to ride this until the end of the season.

I would have liked to get some film on Brandon Jenkins, Tom Compton, Adam Gettis, Chase Minnifield, etc before seeing them at camp in 2014.

Shanny isn't going to play any of them, by his own admission.

Like Lovie, D would improve fast. Smith with an owner who would open the purse strings would be interesting, Shea??? Would feel much better with him as a QB coach. He is a huge question mark as an O coordinator. The Shea part is all that gives me pause.

We could hire Lovie 10 minutes after firing Shanahan. No Rooney rule nonsense to go through. He'd have the remainder of the season to do whatever it is he wanted before getting into the offseason.

Screw it, I'd upgrade my seats if they did that.

(joking, kind of...)

Griffin has not developed at all under Kyle. If he is working with someone he trusts he will progress faster.
