I have seriously thought over the past few weeks that Fred Davis failed a team only drug test. I mean how did he fall out of favor so fast right???

I see now that he's probably become a problem in the locker room because he got beat out fair and square. At least that's how it has seemed to me.

I call BS. On the first one, Jeffrey took TWO steps after the catch. That means he's not really defenseless. Marshall lowered his head on the second one. Guys are gonna pull a Swearinger and start going low and it's gonna take blown knees and several career ending injuries before the league wises up.

Let's forget the suspensions and fines and do what the NCAA does and call targeting for purposeful hits and eject guys for the equivalent of a full game. That should help curb things a little better and, perhaps, prevent the knee thing.

You can't go helmet-to-helmet, whether it's a defenseless receiver or not. "Defenseless Receiver" and "Helmet to Helmet" are really 2 different issues, and in this case, "defenseless receiver" or "taking 2 steps" is irrelevant because Merriweather speared Jeffrey - and that in itself is illegal.

I've re-watched both hits several times on this video, and convinced Merriweather is at fault in both

Oh My GOD. Overreact much? I mean yeah Merriweather deserved to be suspended, yes I agree that he has not learned his lesson.
But Geezus America...Really? Now the masses of whiny participation trophy recipients are demanding that he be suspended for the year or better yet banned from the NFL, because you know.... he's the reason people are in wheel chairs and puppies **** on carpets?

Just another fine example how everyone in this country is just hungry to stand up for something, anything, just to stand up for something. Look at me! Look at me! I think it should be 2x as harsh... No no no look at me! I think it should be 4x as harsh...

God Dammit enough already. I yearn for the days when only 25-70 year old, blue collar, men followed NFL football.

I'm not a everyone gets a participation trophy type guy. He should be banned from the game. He's going after people in a way that ends careers, causes severe brain damage linked to suicides and other severe mental issues, and is causing the game we all love to change a little more towards two hand touch every year.

Not to mention he has a DUI, was involved in a shooting, and was involved in an old field brawl where he stomped on several players.

This dude's time in the NFL is long over due. He's scum. Playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right. It'd be nice if Mr. Protect The Shield had any damn common sense, he could actually act on half of what he preaches. I'm sure he just doesn't have time, his plate is full with ridiculous rule changes to implement next year and more games over seas.
