Random Commanders Thoughts

I was surrounded by kids so I had to watch my mouth :\

On a side note, that's the one thing about when the redskins are bad (and the weather is nice)... tickets become cheap and it becomes a 'take your kid to a game' type event which is really fun and awesome. It's head and shoulders above the everyone go and get completely wasted and act like assholes type games you get when they're good. I wish they could find a way to make the stadium like that when the team is good...

That's a shame t. The having to watch your language thing. After 44+ years, everybody that matters in my life, know the rules.

1. Do NOT call me during the game. Unless someone I really, really like, is in need of immediate life or death assistance, and I am actually capable of providing such.
2. Do NOT, EVER, cheer any accomplishment by the opposing team.
3. Remember I really didn't want you to come watch the game with me in the first place. Which means, I care even less that you brought a child with you, knowing full well that there are no language filters, in my house, during the game.

I'll happily give up cursing for 3 hours if it means having kids in the section that are super excited to watch the game (I assume for a lot of them it's their first game) and cheer over 20-30 year olds being obnoxious trying to start fights.

To be fair their parents didn't say a word to any of us when we did curse. It's just a respect thing to try to not make it an event they don't want to bring their kids back to (or discourage other parents from bringing theirs)

After years of attending games, a few of which early on spent being one of those obnoxious assholes, it gets really old. I get it - you're excited, don't go often, and want to get really drunk so you have a hard time remembering the game you rarely see in person, so you want to try to be a badass and show people you're a tough guy. No, really, I get it. It makes a lot of sense to get thrown out of a game you spent $100+ getting in to.
 
Can we maybe keep the whole "PC Crusaders" and all those type of insults contained to the name-change thread? You know, where the Red Mesa Redskins have been brought up a zillion times already? :)

Completely agree, in that public setting. I don't need to get all riled at a preseason game. (I don't do regular season games)
I was only talking about, my home stadium. ;)
 
It's an indefinite suspension. The league said it wouldn't even consider hearing/seeing his application until the season started. It's not a guarantee he'll ever play in the league again.

Fair enough, I was trying to stay out of the nonsense those threads have become without realizing it could turn this thread into that nonsense for a while.
 
Ovechkin went around for 3 years hitting everything that moved and veterans like Knuble told him to preserve his body and not take so much punishment. It took him a couple of years to figure that out and adjust his game.

Griffin is equally as prideful and wants to show he is tough on the field.

Hopefully he matures and uses his athleticism to augment his game, not to define it.

At first I thought you were talking about Merriweather and his style of play.
Ironically, you could insert Merriweather's name instead of Griffin, into that whole post, and would still basically hold true.

Sam Montgomery, Willie Jefferson & Cierre Wood released by the Texans for "violating team policies" in their hotel room Saturday night. Shocking, to say the least. I would not be surprised to see the Skins bring in Montgomery & Wood, maybe even all three for tryouts.

Apparently they were smoking a cigar. Not sure if they had stuffed it with anything else, or it was just a cigar, but they got booted for substance. Montgomery just walked in on them, don't think he was part of it?

But it appears none of these guys can play Safety though, can they ?
