Random Commanders Thoughts

Ozzie took Henry at DT a couple of picks later. Will be interesting to see what he develops into.

Yeah, a little mystified too on the trade downs.

Didn't particularly feel a 'what do we do now thing', probably because I have no idea about any of this stuff anyhow, but I figured we'd be stocking up on some of this DL talent by now. Guess their fourth round board was busted by other teams and moved to get to their guy earlier on the 5th round board...............dunno.

And btw - as NFLN just pointed out, when the pick offered is NEXT YEAR's pick, it's common to get a 1 round discount. In other words, we should've demanded a 2017 4th round pick.

None of this draft makes sense to me.

I will say that if you have a GM who can find starting talent in later rounds, and I think McLovin has proven to be such a GM, the more picks you have the better. Vinnie was TERRIBLE at making late round picks. Thats what we are used to. We need to get used to having a guy that can find a Richard Sherman in the 5th round. We are up to nine picks next year. That wont suck.

As I said, this draft doesnt make a ton of sense to me. But I havent built two Superbowl teams through the draft. I think I'll just watch and wait.

Eh, may be part of managing the cap going forward. 5th rounders cost less than 4th rounders.

If both of these upcoming 5th's, assuming we don't trade down again, are hits, Scot's genius status will only be enhanced.

Guess again. We are now down to 7 picks in 2015. No second fifth rounder, goes to Jets.

Again we get a 2017 pick back.

McCloughan said this draft was very deep and he wanted to max picks.

While other teams are acting that way, he must have been BSing big time as it seems the Redskins are more interested in 2017.

Just getting caught up on what has happened, seems that maybe we aren't necessarily snapping up dl because the secondary is expected to be strong and are stacking for next year's draft to replace some older players on the end of the road this year.

Nate Sudfeld is a 6-6, 235-pound quarterback, passed for 3,573 yards, 27 touchdowns, 7 INTs in 2015.

Here are the top rated prospects left, that also seem to fit a need for us:

C Jack Allen, Michigan State
G Alexander, LSU
SS Jeremy Cash, Duke--Potential Superstar
DE Robertson-Harris Texas-El Paso

We've taken our DT.

We may still add another DE in the next two rounds.

Pretty good bio.... sounds like he's got the traits you want in an interior D linemen.

only when giving up that pick this year like how the jets trade was. Since we got the saints pick in the fifth and one next year we got good value out of it

Steven Daniels oh my. This kid dishes out the pain. Thumper.

Overview

If any running back has a question about Daniels' size, he'll be happy to answer you with a big shot to the mouth.

Strengths Vending machine build with wide hips and burly frame made for life inside. Downhill daddy. Anticipates his run fits and will jump downhill into the gaps to congest the lane. Has terrific upper body strength and some nasty in his big hands. Able to snatch and shed blockers with force. Can sense down blocks and sinks to fend them off. Instinctive, intelligent approach to the game.

Wow.......did I just see that correctly?

A 5'11, 220 pound RB that runs a 4.31 40?

Look here: Marshall posted a 4.25 40-time and 6.98 3-cone drill at his pro day. Played 8 games as sophomore/junior bc of knee issues
