yeah, its the same reason that message boards get tainted as well. People are always just so quick to criticize and down someone and will go to any lengths to do it.

its a no win situation, really. you just either love the guy or you dont. but both sides have to hear the criticisms.

I still love the guy, and the majority of his posts are good posts. But there is a whoooooole lot of love thrown in there for himself as well. There's not necessarily anything wrong with that, but the over the top telling everyone how great you are gets tiring sometimes, that's all. He does seem to go through spurts though. He'll go for a week talking about nothing but Baylor, then a week talking about random stuff, then a week of me me me, etc. But he loves and appreciates us (anyone who follows him on fb will get that)

I have to admit though, this was hilarious.....

If Jarvis Jenkins, LeRibeus, Gettis, Hankerson, Robinson and free agents like Atogwe and Josh Morgan had turned out to be better moves and more impactful acquisitions the team would have been more successful.

After 4 years here the Redskins had ONE legit receiver to throw the ball to under Shanny.

And an OL that could not pass block effectively.

Just the formula to develop a good passer.

If you follow him on any social media, you'll fully understand why it's nauseating everybody. I'm one of his biggest supporters from day one, and I'm ready to unfollow him on everything, just because it's nonstop look at me, I'm so wonderful bs. And it's nearly every day.

What makes it worse, is he's done zilch to back it up. He's played two seasons - one good, one horrible. His one good year could have been a fluke, or it could have been his bad year. We don't know yet, but we will. It's way too early for him to be acting like he's got the stat sheet to back up his mouth. He's like DeAngelo Hall with a bigger mouth and less impressive stats. I don't care whether someone runs their mouth in a negative way vs positive, running your damn mouth is running your damn mouth. Shut the hell up and play football.

As far as everyone saying if he wins it won't matter, that's bullshit. It does matter. If we have a phenomenal season this year, he'll never shut the hell up. His head will get so big he'll have to have his helmet flown in and air dropped. Honestly, I'd gladly take another terrible season if it was a guaranteed way to make him get over himself.

Oh I wouldn't go that far. He's just young and posts on social media a lot, just like a lot of other 23 year-olds. Most of the stuff he posts about I just shrug off and ignore, because I'm an Old Man and I don't understand the need to post what I had for breakfast today, complete with instagram photo and running commentary. But I understand some people, especially younger people who have grown up with this stuff, like to do that. I write most of what he says as that sort of thing.

The logo ... yeah it was a little much. (nice logo though, CT. I do agree) I saw it and thought, "kinda tacky, Bob. That's gonna back up on us" and then went about my day. Don't feel the need to attack him for it beyond that. Then again, don't really feel the need to defend him neither. Such is the nature of social media.

Well...there's only so many times you can write about being hung over and post pics of Bloody Marys before we notice a pattern and the story grows stale,Henry.

I think alot of folks that are very aggravated with this are also yelling at the neighborhood kids to "get off my lawn."

It bothers me to a degree too and I would much rather Griffin not say anything, put up a monster season this year and then come out with his logo..but that's just me and my ever growing curmudgeon ways ( sucks getting old sometimes,lol).

But in the big picture,at least imo...this is a blip on the radar that the sports media is blowing way out of proportion.

DJax on the other hand? Hell, I had to turn off NFL Radio this morning because Ross Tucker and Solomon Wilcotts were killing him for not cancelling his vacation...even though he cleared it with the team first.

Guess when you're searching for radio material, you just pick a random Redskins player...blow a miniscule incident up and fill your 4 hours with it. Damn shame......

Gents...this is the proverbial tempest in a tea pot. let's press on to other matters! RGIII is our QB. we have the speciality tools for an awesome offense. one or two o-line tweaks and our O is potentially among the best in the league.

defense is a work in progress. I know it's better. but the truth is: no way but up anyway; no clue how much better.

saw some tape the other day of work out sessions in the weight room. camera panned and caught McLeRib doing some curls. he looked svelte and in shape.

I think it's fine for Clark to wear the 21 in practice. He had a big positive influence on ST while they played together. If it was anyone else I'd have to say no way. Plus Clark has been wearing 21 in practice since the ST tragedy as a tribute.

I am absolutely, positively, unequivocally, ok with it. It is a tribute meant to honor Sean's memory, one I am sure Sean would be honored by.

Clark didn't just grab it. He took to twitter last week and asked what people thought of him practising in #21. He asked for peoples thoughts on it, which, considering it was twitter, was pretty brave.

The general concensus was that as it was being worn by somebody who was close to Sean, and that Ryan, better than most, knows what #21 means in DC, it was cool. Think if the response had been negative, he'd have respectfully swapped numbers.

The fact it's being worn by somebody who will always know what it means to be the Redskins #21 is fine by me.

“The day that Sean passed, I had just got out of the hospital, battling for my life,” Clark said, referring to the emergency operation he underwent after the combination of his carrying the sickle-cell trait and playing in the high altitude of Denver deprived his major organs of oxygen.

“The day I got the opportunity to fly down for the funeral, I had just gotten the tubes taken out of my side in order for me to get on the plane. So that’s what he means to me.”

Clark, who signed with the Steelers as a free agent in 2006, began wearing No. 21 in practice to honor Taylor in 2008 after the NFL denied his request to change his number from 25.

“Every time somebody asks me why I wear a different number to practice, I get to tell Sean’s story,” Clark continued. “I get to tell people about the guy I love. I get to tell people about the guy who was possibly on his way to being the greatest safety to ever play the game. And that got cut short. He never got to realize his full potential. But it gives me the opportunity to remind people of him. And maybe people in Washington don’t need that. Maybe that’s the thing.”
