Random Commanders Thoughts

or, we could trade them all for someone!

Ha, the method of trading up and or picks away hasn't faired too well for this team in the past. Wanna go one season we're acquiring more picks and spread them around.

if you see a new coach come in here and the team starts acquiring 32 and 33 year old players, you will know we hired the wrong candidate.

this team on defense and special teams needs a complete rebuild.

on offense we have some capable skill players but need linemen and depth at WR.

How long until we say goodbye to TyPo, Chester, Monty, and Little Lich?

My sources say TyPo now has a restraining order enacted preventing him from coming within 100ft from the park. Not really but that's my late Xmas present to myself thought.

Mike Shanahan really thought he could win fielding a lineup of backups on the offensive line.

In the end he deluded himself into thinking scheme trumped talent.

Updated list of assistants that were fired.

•Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan
•Special team coordinator Keith Burns
•Quarterback coach Matt LaFleur
•Linebackers coach Bob Slowik
•Wide receivers coach Mike McDaniel
•Advance scout Larry Coyer
•Offensive quality control coach Richmond Flowers
•Defensive assistant Bobby Slowik

All of Shanahan's lackeys.

Morris and McVay were TB guys that Allen has retained.

If Haslett leaves, Morris could be the next DC.

I'm growing increasingly skeptical of Cooley as a source for information.

He's way too positive about whatever the current direction of the team is at any given time.

How about the O-line Coach ?

So we get the 2nd pick in every round now, excluding the first?

Man this is the perfect offseason to load the hell up on rounds 3-5 if possible. Best set up at the top of every round too.

Actually, for whatever reason, the NFL alternates the #1 and #2 picks each round. So the Texans get the 1st pick in the first round, but we get the 1st pick in the 2nd round. It alternates throughout the draft. All even number rounds...we get the first pick.

Keep all the draft picks. Make the right choices and then go into free agency and grab several 26 or 27 year old players who are just entering their primes. We have the money to do that.

This is strange, and I have never heard of this, nor noticed it, nor can figure out why they do this.

I knew it was that way in the 2nd round, but did some research last night to discover they alternate all rounds.

If I ever noticed an aberration in the picks at the top of each round, I just assumed it was the result of a trade. Now it all makes sense. Well sort of. Not everything makes sense. I mean, I still havn't figured out why Ryman hasn't showed up, to rejoice in the firing of Haslett.

Haslett hasn't been fired yet.

The alternating round thing is weird - I've never noticed it before either. Could that be something new they've created?

I think it's just so people don't have back to back picks?

As long as i've been following football i'm kind of embarrassed to say I didn't know they did that...

I only went back over the past couple of years so I don't know how "new" it is. I could look further...for a small fee! Or we could pass this off to the resident "stats" guy...

serv?

Edit: After taking a quick look through the last 5 years, it looks like the 2012 Draft was the first time they alternated and they did it again this year in 13. Now...with our luck, the competition committee will say screw that format and it will go back to the way it was.
