wait, what? I don't recall them telling us about that, can't you get in a lot of trouble for withholding injury stuff like that?

i assume this explains why he started so hot then kind of dropped into average play?

J.I. Halsell, ESPN 980 NFL Salary Cap Expert, says the Redskins are in a position that is light years better than it was in 2009 in terms of contracts, youth, etc. Shanahan may have missed on many acquisitions, but he missed cheaply instead of expensively.

Also said that as long as Allen is here the Redskins will remain in good salary cap positions (maybe suggesting Shanahan had less to do with it, and it was all Allen??)

Bruce Allen talking now just said the Redskins over the 4 years played some good quarters and halves but never complete games. Isn't that what we've been saying here all along? Shanahan and Haslett have to be the worst at making in game adjustments and it probably cost us 1/2 of our losses during these 4 years.

He wants to win so bad that he stuck with Vinny for a decade and hired Zorn after Gibbs retired. I think its safe to say that he prefers marketing to winning. Lets hope RG3 can make it happen or else we'll have a new coach again in 2015.

which, btw, is exactly what shanahan said about Snyder and Vinny when he took over...

which is why they were retained...

Isn't that exactly what they said in Denver? Shanahan after he won the Super Bowl stopped listening to his scouts and started listening to himself talk.

Remember when he signed Darryl Gardener as a FA from the Redskins and gave him a $30M contract? I think Gardener only played 3 or 4 games for Denver before his chronic back injury forced him to IR and then retirement.

Remember when Shanahan signed the defensive line of the Cleveland Browns? Courtney Brown, Gerard Warren, Kenard Lang, etc.

His defenses in the 2000's was a joke.

And his defenses here in Washington were just as awful.
