Random Commanders Thoughts

So the Ravens are out.

Remember a few months ago when we played them and everyone was saying even though we lost it was a good showing because they were superbowl contenders and we were just a rebuilding team learning how to be competitive?

Good times 🙂

Now that the Championship games are set, I'm hoping for a Super Bowl XXVI rematch (with the same results, of course).
Few posts are more worthy of the "Mind Blown" emoticon than this one. I feel like you almost accomplished the feat.

his "send me my ring" makes you want to hate him....but as Joe says...WWJD

Jesus says "Good luck in Dallas"
Was thinking about that comment earlier. If we (knock on wood) manage to win the SB, that might wind up being the most ‘accidentally right’ thing ever.

My 13 year old son and I are watching yesterday’s game again. I can’t explain how I am feeling. It’s like a 1/4 century nightmare has lifted. Regardless, of what happens next week, I feel like nature is healing. Things aren’t perfect e.g., we have this goofy name and some pretty crappy uniforms other than the burgundy ones. However, my team has real ownership with vision, respect from around the league, and is already an SB contender in a “rebuilding” year. I found an awesome message board to share here random thoughts with other fans and I find myself walking around my house in a perpetual state of disbelief. This franchise has been such a part of my life and cherished family memories, especially with family that is no longer with us. The dark DS times made a real wound. Yes, it is “just a game”, except this team is woven throughout the story of my life and in the lore of the family stories I share with my kids.

I don’t know what I trying to say and probably rambling. I just feel an actual measurable cloud has lifted .

HTTR!

I'm with you brother. While I don't have kids to share this with, I can feel a weight lifted. Even the PTSD of RGIII is starting to lift. We are not a perfect team and yet we're one game from the Super Bowl. On top of that, every NFL fan I know says they are so jealous of us having Jayden Daniels. And the NFC East fans are grumbling that they'll have to face him.

I've killed Ron over his ineptitude more than anyone.. but man... in a round about way him being so bad as a HC/GM that the new regime swapped out 70% of the roster and were in a position to draft the 2nd coming of Mahomes.. i am OK sending Ron a ring (with an asterisks) :2thumbsup:

nope. if the commanders beat the eagles and make it to the super bowl, I want it to be the chiefs. then beat the chiefs to leave no room for doubt or "well...the commanders/Jayden didn't...". f it. go for it all and take no hostages.

Right, but I think he was young and Gibbs would have been able to mentor him if he had stayed.
I might be late to this topic, but Jay had a problem which even Gibbs wasn't going to be able to solve, which is why he was traded: everybody on the team hated him. For whatever reason, he wasn't liked in the locker room. Gibbs was smart enough to know, "don't care about talent, gotta boot this guy." And did.

That's why Gibbs is in the HOF of TWO sports, and the only person to have that distinction.

Daniels is #4 on the list no one else from the team made the list
How many Cowboys? 4? I'm guessing. Dak, Lamb, Prescott are probably locks (and probably should be). I'm sure they could find a way to sneak one more in there.

I disagree. I like the symmetry of having the Bills 30+ years apart.

Jets have a second interview set up with newmark.

It's looking like a distinct possibility we'll lose him this year.

Was really hoping for 100 percent continuity for one year but it's the price you pay for this insane turnaround, other bottom feeding teams like we were just a year ago are gonna crave a taste of this instant success.
