I agree with this right here. Women shouldn't be allowed in men's dressing rooms, and if that's unfair to women, no one should be allowed in.

As for the whole Sainz situation, it would be really great if both men and women could act like adults. Men, show women respect even if they don't appear to respect themselves. Women, dress professionally if you want to be treated professionally.

It's really not that complicated.

I agree with this also. You don't see NFL athletes doing this when they're on the podium because all eyes are on them. The locker room is supposed to be sacrosanct - so players will tend to act like anything goes. Most people act differently when they are in public or professional settings than when they are at home or around loved ones for a reason.

Exactly! I picture Quasimoto yelling "Sanctuary". When you enter a team's Inner Sanctum you are on their turf and you have to be prepared for anything. It's probably what the media loves about it while the players likely hate it.
 
See, just like in our society, I was raised with mixed signals. My grandmother raised me to be respectful of others period. My mom would try to emphasize this, but when she took me to work with her, it was a whole different story.

My mother was a beautician. On Saturday afternoons after my grandmother took me to soccer games, she would drop me off at my mother's shop. There I learned the lessons that contradicted what my grandmother was trying to teach me. If you guys have never spent more than an hour in a beauty salon, I am here to tell you that women objectify men as much as men do women, if not more! Every Saturday I would have to go into that shop and listen to these women talk about men, a couple of the women being young and single discussing their triumphs. The topper, and I hated this, was the poster they had in the laundry room of Burt Reynolds naked. That poster horrified me as a 7-11 year old boy.

But you will never here about stuff like that! I was in the sanctity of a beauty salon and they did nothing to respect a young boy. So I have no sympathy for any woman who goes into a locker room and expects men to be anything other than men!

Count me in with the crowd of no reporters in locker rooms. I can't believe it's even an issue, how can you give a professional interview to a naked man and how can the naked man be comfortable to give it? No one but coaches players and team employees should ever be in the locker rooms unless it's a pre-arranged tour when players won't be in a state of undress. What blows my mind the most is given today's culture surrounding sexual harassment in the workplace this even flies. It also bears noting that male reporters are NOT allowed in WNBA, LPGA or WTA locker rooms. Why has this not been resolved in the courts? I find that amazing.
 
I think it's good. If Big Al and Portis are showing solidarity that can't be anything but good when Portis is playing the role of team player this year. Maybe AH isn't quite as loathed as many would think.

Ha! I am not so sure Portis is in the dog house, but you can bet Shanny had words with him. He was obviously told not to say another word.

Give Portis' and Haynesworth some credit for handling the media the way they did. It was a light hearted way of dealing with the media while following coaches orders. I was thinking the same thing you did, it was refreshing to see Big Al having fun with the team. It looks like he will be with us for the rest of the season so we might as well embrace him, as much as we can stomach. Looks like some of the players are doing so.
