AP gets a ton of rope, but he's only had one draft as GM and outside of Daniels (other choice was Maye who looks like a hit too), what has he really done to get so much leniency? Sain is great, but Coleman had to be replaced, Sinnott hasn't hit, Newton is just okay, LMC looks like a nepotism loss, Hampton nothing. Going into the draft lacking picks and a roster full of OYDs and we gave Kinlaw a big contract, despite him being terrible (more nepotism).

I trust AP more than anyone we've had in 30 years, but he dodges too much criticism for a guy that hasn't done anything.
You’re just bitter because he didn’t cut Wylie. :p

We were getting a franchise QB either way. That was a gimme
I don't think you're giving our staff enough credit for all the things they did to set Daniels up for success.
They could have kept Bienemy and let him throw the ball 750 times last year and gotten him howelled or ramsey'd but they did everything they possibly could to make sure he was able to be successful.
I get what your saying, that AP doesn't have anywhere near enough on his resume to feel comfortable with crowning him the next great g.m. but with what he had to work with and knowing that no gm's are ever perfect i don't see too much room for criticism, at least not yet.

Truth. GMs should be graded on the whole, not by any individual move as no one hits 100%. But Hail Raiser has a good point. GM AP ain't God.
But the Johnny Newton move caught a LOT of people off guard, and just as we learned with GM RR, when you go against the consensus, you better be right.
If they had picked Cooper DeJean instead of Newton.....You'd have an absolute stud on your D and still have 3 draft picks. It's too soon to say if Johnny will be a better pick than Cooper, but I'd be willing to bet an unlabeled aluminum can against it so far.

He signed arguably one of the greatest free agency classes in franchise history and turned a bottom of the barrel team to the nfc champsionship in one season.

Wagner
Luvu
Fowler
Ertz
Armstrong
Biadasz
Ekeler
Reaves
Iggy

Getting the Daniels pick correct has already set our franchise up for success the next decade.

Mikey is an absolute stud and will be a leader of our team for many years to come.

Newton started slow but has steadily improved. This was expected as he was coming off injury and missed camp. Given how things played out with Allen (and even his unexpected injury), i highly doubt we would have changed picks even if we had the opportunity to. I am very excited for Newton to take the next step this year and get a full camp under him.

Drafting a rookie who was a startable LT for us in round 3 is a huge win. He is another slam dunk pick.

Sinnott / LMC likely Ls. Not ready to give up on Sinnott as TEs usually take multiple years to develop though.

Jean Baptiste has shown flashes. Realistically exactly what you want to see from a 7th.

Tyler Owens is UDFA we are very high on that was able to make the 53-man roster.

Calling free agent signings an L before they even see the field for us is not the right thing to do.

To me, you are massively underestimating what Peters has already accomplished here.

Did you join the board just to ay this? haha

Last year was awesome, I'm just not ready to say it wasn't a fluke yet.

He hired Quinn who built a great coaching staff and that is what brought a lot of the FAs in.

Like when we signed Wags, my number 1 FA, I almost passed out. But he came here for two reasons. Ken Norton and Howard, not AP.

Owens is a loon that was injured, Baptiste was good when healthy, but not league notice good.

Sain is awesome right? and Sinn was my top guy, but those two over Coop?

Coleman was amazing. Half the league got starting OTs outside of the first round. Rich draft.

Alright! Go team!

Way to introduce yourself to the board. Welcome!

This is why I don't read your posts.

We had grown ups walk in and take over and you want to give them credit for scraping Rons turd off the short carpet

Grow up
Why ya gotta be that way?
Seriously?

Getting rid of Bienemy was an obvious move any franchise would have made i know that, it was just an example of other similar things that could have happened that didn't because we now have a professional front office and therefore Getting a franchise quarterback wasn't a given.

Sorry dude. Thought you were trolling me, knowing how I felt about EB before day one.

My bad, I sometimes get critical of people if I believe they are reading to respond and not interpret and then I do the same thing..
The internet can be tough sometimes.
Lol

Still can't believe you gave credit to someone for not firing EB. He should have been fired by Tuddy publicly after the Bills game.

And ironically i do remember your vitriol for Bienemy and for some strange reason that memory never crossed my mind when making the reference.
No idea how that happened.

The draft is almost here and the Commanders will instantly improve which all can get behind. It's nice to again be one big happy family!!!

Still can't believe you gave credit to someone for not firing EB. He should have been fired by Tuddy publicly after the o doubt, and honestly I just used him as an example of what we had done in the past on a regular basis and didn't really mean to use him specifically.

I really didn't mean to use him specifically, just one example of our long history of what we do to our rookie quarterbacks.

It sure is nice to be off those tracks and be on the right ones now.
