Brady. Are you kidding? This year is the perfect example - So-called "defensive genius" Bill Belicheat's 32nd-ranked defense is in the superbowl. Why? Because of Tom Brady carrying the team. His defenses were solid in the early 2000s, thanks to the strong foundation Parcells drafted for him. As soon as those guys got old and started leaving, the defense started to decline.

I used to argue that Belicheat deserved some recognition, but now I'm in the Brady camp. Luckiest sumbitch to ever stand on an NFL sideline! Mediocre coach who had the greatest QB of all time fall into his lap, in the 6th round no less. Ridiculous.

oh, and that big ass dude Wilfork is carrying that defense on his back singlehandedly.

That is a huge feat, considering for a while there, carrying the defense on his back singlehandedly, included carrying Fat Albert. I mean, Fat Albert alone, accounted for 85% of the weight of the team.
