PFT: Donovan McNabb is headed to the Washington Redskins

I was thinking the same thing.
In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king, just call me cyclops.

Lanky I was being facetious as well. I am the last person to get butthurt in a message forum, but as I always say, if you cant take the heat ..... lol and this place is actually a pretty decent place overall when it comes to actually fighting imho. I do find it funny tho that some people would rather send Pms than say something man up even on the interweb.

oh and I was gonna say "high school Oline, where they put the fat white kids who cant run fast" although to be fair I had a quip ready no matter what position you played, lmao.

Meh, Fair enough, I was raised differently I guess, in my world if someone pisses you off you tell them. they will either tell you to pound sand or they will modify their behaviour to a mutually acceptable level. if they do THAT via PM I could respect that, when they send other people Pms regarding someone else, that seems rather like what a teenage girl would do.

Haha, damn you.

They let me run the ball once or twice in practice, and it always took at least 2 tacklers. If only I had been fast, I'd have been Toby Gerhart before Toby Gerhart even existed!

My problem with his accuracy has little to do with dropped balls, although less drops would of course increase his completion percentage. Also, from memory, Jason suffered from just as many last year as Donovan this year imo.

And yet I either heard or read just a couple weeks ago that we are near the lead in the league for fewest dropped passes...

Now I just need to see if I can remember where I heard/read it. :frown2:

Now that is one stat I'd really like to see. :)

Well, so much for the dropped passes excuse I guess.

Interesting that Indy & NE are 2nd and third. Imagine if Manning & Brady had our receiving corp. ;)

I hated running the ball, the only thing I hated more was being a receiver, stupid runt DB's always dove at the back of my legs.

What's even worse for the argument is that we've thrown the 6th most passes this year, so our drop-percentage is relatively low also.

any team that has Donovan as the QB is gonna have to throw the ball a lot to make up for the dirtballs and overthrows, its been his MO his entire career. add in that we havent had a steady running game and you have a recipe for throwing the ball more than we would like.

I dont think that his large yardage total means much, the offence has had a long field all year and we arent scoring even when given a short field.

I still disagree with you on the "have to throw more to hide the QB's deficiencies" thing. I think its more of the fact that we haven't had a running game all year long, due to 1) Torain not being called up immediately, and 2) Torain being injured.

As far as the "short field all year long" - we're 3rd overall in KR yards (12th in average ypr), so that's not a valid excuse either. Besides, long field or short field, if you can't run the ball you're passing.

I suggest you use the time profitably and study: unemployment rate is exceptionally bad for current graduates.

on the other hand...having interviewed the current generation of grads over the years for some elite engineering research.....declining skillsets do work in your favor!!!

either way...enjoy our snowday! build a strawman...ooops...I meant snowman. and I do enjoy my work....wish the same for you when the day comes!! and I hope you graduate with honors....what is left of the workforce can always benefit from talented, motivated, skilled individuals (kinda like the Skins!)

:rotflmao: At times I find your posts, well they are what they are. This^^^ was about as funny as I have seen in a while, better than the jabs between Ryman and Lanky the other day!

Boy, I really do love this place!

Maybe this is what I read and I took it to mean that we had fewer drops than most teams. Damn statistics...they are nearly lies. ;)

It was also at least 2 weeks ago that I came across that and perhaps more. No doubt the last couple of games have not helped us in this regard.

We are about in the middle of the pack, Neo. You weren't that far off. Dropped passes, in relation to the league, are a statistical non-factor when looking at McNabb's accuracy.

I think you misunderstood me, we give up piles of yardage so we have long fields to work with to get yardage, but we also had a pile of turnovers early which gave us short fields to work with, I agree we havent had a steady running game but early on we abandoned the running game a few times in order to throw more.

I do as well, I find the sneaky barbs are often funnier than outright goonery, not that anyone here would resort to goonery.
