I think it’s a good call to pass on those hot pockets. But damn if I didn’t love them growing up.

I think I had a ham and cheese hot picket like every day after school for the better part of elementary school.

Processed food yuck...so many other better basic home made options. Calzones, empanadas, etc.

Hell, buy some frozen puff pastry and stuff/fold as you like! Savory turnovers! Easy peasy!

I used to make turnovers in the restaurant, only a dozen a night.
We would saute fresh spinach in butter with salt pepper and nutmeg (cooled and drained). Folded in diced fresh drained feta.
Then we topped with lots of jumbo crab meat. We folded this in puff pastry triangles, egg washed them, and baked in the oven
Served with a real lobster sauce
They sold out EVERY NIGHT.

Thats a high-end example but you get it

They weren't even invented when I was in elementary school. Neither was a microwave oven.
Wow. I'm fuckin' old.

In college where I felt my time was at a premium, I wasn’t confident in my cooking skills, and my stomach was a furnace that could process anything, I would eat a pepperoni pizza hot pocket with a glass of of oj as a super cheap and quick source of fuel. To me it tasted great together. I never eat them anymore.

Different situations and circumstances for everyone!

Same... I think there were microwaves but, like VCR's, only the rich kids families had them....

Those were my teenage years. We were nowhere near rich. Our mic was the size of a real oven and mom fucked up and bought a Sony BetaMax

Hot Pockets have never been in our house when the kids wer I will admit, when buzzed enough, I would eat their Bagel Bites!

I wont let them. In our house now and my kids have never had them because they are the definition of crappy highly processed food.

But I also will admit they were tasty and fairly inexpensive back in the day.

My guess is my 11 year old would find them gross because she eats generally like an adult with a pretty good palet.

The 6 year old boy won’t eat them because they would be new. If he did eat them, he’d love it. But he would never try it. So his loss 🤣
