Does this mean that I can tell Brian what camera to use from now on? Do I tell others who have expertise or experience in their professions or hobbies that they are nothing but a message board member? I push nothing and have said several times in this thread that it is simply an OPINION. Mike, take the time to read (again) where I said that there were many things where I deferred to others.

The fact that you simply hate me is really what it is all about. Nothing more, nothing less. That has always been the case and that is fine. You know more than me about certain subjects. Big deal. I know more than you about certain subjects. Big deal. You made it personal on here and on FB. Bottom line is that it has no effect on me on way or the other. I'll continue to share thoughts and experiences in this thread. If you participate or not, that is fine.

Sherry Pollex, the steady girlfriend of Martin Truex got a diagnosis of breast cancer this week. It was caught early and the prognosis is good.

Greg Biffle lost the 3M sponsorship - it is heading to Jeff Gordon as a main sponsor. Biffle is expected to announce a new major sponsor soon.

As expected, Carl Edwards and Joe Gibbs Racing will announce their new deal sometime early next week.

Ryan Blaney will be the new driver in the Wood Brothers 21 car and will have a new technical alliance with Penske Racing South.

NASCAR may change the car a bit next year - slightly less HP and less downforce. This will allow for more passing and less "follow the leader".

Race Team Alliance has expanded to include all full time teams - eighteen teams and thirty-seven full time rides.

The very popular win for AJ Allendinger at Watkins Glen was his first in the Cup Series.

Mars (M&Ms, Wrigley, Snickers, Skittles) has extended their contract with Joe Gibbs Racing and Kyle Busch.

Kurt Busch would like to do the double (Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600) once again next year.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will not have the National Guard sponsorship after this season. They are leaving the sport.

Marcos Ambrose remains unsigned for next year.

Jeff Burton will be racing the #14 car this weekend at Michigan.

Mark Martin is returning to Roush Fenway as an instructor driver only.

NASCAR instituted a new rule about drivers staying in their cars after an accident until safety crews arrive on the scene - with the exception being in an emergency situation (car on fire, etc.) and during red flag operations.
 
Carl Edwards will be announced as a new driver in the Joe Gibbs Racing stable. Hearing that the car number will be #19 and a new sponsor - Arris - a high tech firm. Thinking that Subway will go with him too.

Could be a few minor changes to the schedule for next year (it won't be announced for a while). Hearing that Darlington will get the Labor Day race back and Atlanta goes to the second race of the season. Bristol Part I could be moved to late April.

Ryan Truex is dealing with his concussion and has not been cleared to race at Bristol - yet.

Locked into the chase includes AJ Allmendinger, Aric Almirola, Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, and Joey Logano. Virtually locked in is Matt Kenseth.

Richard Childress Racing will turn 45 on September 14.

Danica Patrick is amongst the highest paid female athletes in the world at $15 million.

Atlanta moves to the second race of the season. Phoenix Part 1 is now the fourth race of the season. Bristol Part 1 is now later in April. Darlington will get the Labor Day weekend slot. Kansas and Charlotte fall races switch dates.
 
Darlington should have never been moved from Labor Day weekend. Maybe one day they will get rid of all the cookie cutter tracks in the chase...
 
Turner Scott Motorsports has shut down their truck operation. That leaves Ron Hornaday without a ride.

Matt Kenseth and his wife introduced their new children's book this week.

It is official. Carl Edwards will move to JGR next year with sponsorship from Arris. He will pilot the #19 car. Subway is expected to follow him.

Tony Stewart will race this weekend at Atlanta.

Samantha Busch (Kyle) won the best online ice bucket challenge via Fox Sports voting from the fans this week.

Nationwide Series and Camping World Series schedules for 2015 have been announced. Details are at nascar.com and other NASCAR sites.

Matt Kenseth is a virtual lock for the Chase, even without a win.
 
Man am I the only one that thinks him getting on the track is a bad plan? He doesn't think he can keep it together to answer questions, but he is going to race??? I don't know about that....

That's a difficult question to answer. Only he knows if it is time to race.
 
The reason for the very fast pitstops at Atlanta for JGR centers on new technology in their air guns.

On Youtube, there is a video of a nasty girl fight from Atlanta Motor Speedway (in the stands) and happened just before the race.

A new sponsor is coming aboard sometime this week in the second series (Nationwide). Hearing that it will be Comcast with a ten year deal.

Nationwide will be a primary sponsor for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. starting in 2015. A preview of it will come at the race in Richmond this week.

Tony Stewart returned to racing on Sunday evening and had a great start. His night ended early after hitting the wall hard in turn one with a flat right front tire.

Anyone who is in the top thirty in the points can get in the chase with a win at Richmond this Saturday night. Ryan Newman is nearly locked in on points and Greg Biffle has a comfortable margin on points.

Marcos Ambrose is leaving NASCAR after this season and returning to his native Australia. Petty Motorsports hopes to announce a new driver soon for the #9 car.

The #33 car became #90 at Richmond to honor the life of legendary car owner Junie Donlavey who died earlier this year at age 90. The number seems fitting. The sixty-seven drivers who piloted his cars over the years were honored by having their names placed on the hood, including personal favorite - Ricky Rudd (1979).

The chase begins tomorrow at the Chicagoland Speedway.

Kyle Busch is attempting the trifecta this weekend at Chicago.

Richard Petty honored an Army veteran with a new car on Friday and a year's worth of groceries for his wife.

The Parade of Haulers at Dover will take place on Sept. 25 at about 6pm. and will wind through downtown Dover.

Reports are that Penske Motorsport will follow Marcus across the Pacific and enter a fully funded team in to the Australian V8Supercar Series in 2015.

More will be known later this week.
 
It has been announced officially that Marcus Ambrose will drive a Penske Motorsport backed V8 Ford in the 2015 V8 Supercar Championships. Adorned with the #66, Marcos is expected to unveil the car this Friday 21 Nov, then conduct a practice session later in the day.

The following weekend, he has been invited to be a guest driver at the final round of this year's championship.
