Official Game Thread - Week 9 - Seahawks @ Commanders

Never been a huge fan of the term but this is a must win game if ive ever seen one.
If we cant pull off this mild upset we sure as hell can't beat the lions next week and were cooked at 3-7 but we win today maybe a little momentum and we have a chance of upsetting the lions at home, we did it to them in their house 8 months ago.
That happens and we'll most likely beat the reeling dolphins and go into the bye at 6-5 right back in the wildcard race.

But we absolutely gotta win tonight or its season kaput.

It's kind of crazy Treylon Burks was available - I mean, a former 1st round pick in 2022? That was the draft where we grabbed Jahan Dotson way before George Pickens got selected, and there were something like 6 WRs taken in the first round. He was probably overdrafted. Still - his player comp is Deebo Samuels Jr.... not a burner but a super strong WR who is very physical. I don't know why the Titans couldn't figure out how to use him - he only had 53 career catches there? He has had a problem with concussions, so that is at least a small part of it.

But if you are going to add a guy on a wing and a prayer, he's got a pretty good pedigree. It just didn't work out in Tennessee for whatever reason.

Could be because nothing has worked out in Tennessee for the last ... long time.

Making the playoffs from 3-6 would be ... the same thing we did in 2012. So not impossible. But highly unlikely.

On my scale of "running into people at safeway," I'd say it would be as improbably as running into a person wearing a #17 Jason Campbell Jersey while on vacation in St. Maarten. WAIT! That happened to me earlier this year. We've so got this!!!

Looks like McCaffrey has arrived for Minnesota. Was 2024 the best QB draft ever? Too early of course but it's looking pretty amazing.

This lions-vikes game has been brutally physical and Detroit is getting banged up. If they lose this game and have to travel to us next week while we are coming off a huge Seahawks win to change the season, I could see them being ripe for the taking. Even if they win this g, it's going to take something out of them. We have our destiny in our hands

DQ seems to be putting allot of rhetoric out there that the team will show up BIG. I hope it's not just talk...did he really put the team on NOTICE? I mean jobs (coaches and players) are on the line....
lots of talk...be embarrassing if the team is flat..

The one good thing is every team in the NFC has at least 2 losses already. The league wanted parity and they got their wish. I dont know if I have witnessed worse defense in the league than I have seen this season.
