Official Game Thread - Week 7 - Commanders @ Cowboys

We need a new DC and about 7 new pieces on defense. Quinn also isn’t going to be the long term guy for us either. This team just comes out flat every game.

I’ve long seen Quinn as our bridge culture guy who starts us on the right path, and then eventually gets replaced by a stud offensive mind when we can’t get over the hump. And if AP actually builds a good roster it would be normal for him to get a second swing at a HC hire if we’re still moving in the right direction generally.

I’ve compared it to the Rams going from horrendous, to respectable with Fisher (but accepting that for too long and becoming a .500 stereotype), to McVay.

That was the most spry Ertz has looked all year, weird

That's the type of pass we should have been using

There's obviously other components to discuss but my uno numero for right now is piss poor tackling.
Fair enough. It has been horrible all year and the staff worry about, talk about and work on turnovers. They need to learn to tackle

Hmm, looks like the giants love may have been a touch premture too.

Im just waiting for fox to go to the one of the close games now and spare me the rest of this.

Quinn has coached scared since game 1 at Tampa last year. We had a chance to go for 2 to make the game interesting late and didn’t. And then a few other instances throughout the rest of the season. And for being a defensive minded coach, you’d think him and Whitt would be able to scheme better around our lack of talent.
Didn't we go for it on 4th down more than any other team in the league or am i misremembering that?

They got time to comeback still. Hope they dont

Beating Denver on the road isn’t easy.

i dont think it will be easy for this version of the team to beat NY on the road

Maybe more than any team in the history of the league? And we converted at the highest percentage ever as well. Without the benefit of a cheap tush push type thing. It’s like we had our balls chopped off this offseason

That great Giants d gave up 30 points in the 4th quarter. Misery likes company. 😆

I think Quinn/Whitt need to make the change and put Mikey back on the boundary and Iggy in the slot. they have to try something different.

I'm not throwing out Quinn with the Whitt water. If Quinn is smart enough to can our DC, I think he should stay. He can inspire good talent, we just need good talent

Dak in the game up 22 in the 4th quarter against a backup QB and a defense that couldn't stop an 80 year old with a walker? I never cheer for injuries to an opponent, but if I did, this would be the time.

We have a crappy defense, no wide receivers and a bad kicker.

If Dallas loses this game today at home, they really, really suck.

Diggs being out helps, but what receiver can exploit that?
Hated to do it, but free money is free money.
