Official Game Thread - Week 7 - Commanders @ Cowboys

We need a new DC and about 7 new pieces on defense. Quinn also isn’t going to be the long term guy for us either. This team just comes out flat every game.

And people wondered why the over under was in the 50's.

Joe Whitt going to double down this week that if they improve just 1 percent on tackling they will be a top 10 tackling team versus bottom half

And DQ will announce they will work more on stripping the ball to hope for a turnover instead of practicing tackling 101

I didnt have an opinion on Whitt. I trusted everybody else’s who liked the hire.

But I was definitely anti-Kliff. And I still stick by it. This offense would function even better without him.

Yep, being anti-Kliff even after good weeks is a thankless job. The worst part is that when we eventually have to move on from him (for whatever reason), he doesn’t really belong to any established coaching trees in the league. He’s fairly unique (and that contributes to his strange combination of innovative/stale that he bounces back and forth between), not of the Reid or Shanahan trees that have mostly taken over the league. So when we start over, we’ll really be starting over. God forbid we promote from within (Brian Johnson or Anthony Lynn) rather than trying to hire a stud OC, which would be a different type of disaster unless Daniels actually does develop into a Peyton Manning CEO QB type

You should be a politician because 5 minutes ago you were calling people who turned on jayden pathetic and now you're turning on the only coach he's ever had in the nfl and who carries the exact same team record.

That said i agree with you, quinn is a players coach and he gets guys to like him and his team atmosphere so to speak but he just doesn't have the game day chops of the elite head coaches.

Quinn has coached scared. He was afraid of injuries in preseason so nobody got the necessary work...he didn't (couldn't) know the product he put on the field until its too late...he's playing players based on PAST performance (Latttimore/Gay). He has to realize his LB's have lost speed to the edge. Don't know what he can do now (or even next year..too many holes)

seems like there is more than a good chance we finish 4th in the east now. I think skattebo and dart will make the game very different than week 1.

Quinn has coached scared since game 1 at Tampa last year. We had a chance to go for 2 to make the game interesting late and didn’t. And then a few other instances throughout the rest of the season. And for being a defensive minded coach, you’d think him and Whitt would be able to scheme better around our lack of talent.

We are not losing this game just because of poor tackling
There's obviously other components to discuss but my uno numero for right now is piss poor tackling.
