Official Game Thread - Week 6 MNF - Bears @ Commanders

I'm not worried about guys like Deebo, Tunsil, etc. They're kinda like Wagner and Miller at this point. There true vets who the staff will let have a lot of off days just to be ready for the game. Deebo is fine but whenever he has any little heel injury or whatever then he's probably only going to practice once a week but will be ready for the game. DeAndre Hopkins got to the point where he rarely practiced but dominated in the games. I remember Charles Haley never practicing and would kill teams.

As for Terry, I think that our fans are being way too hard on him. Yes it sucks what is happening but he is truly Mr Commander, no one has represented the Franchise better, and holdouts are unfortunately a part of the game. That's normal and mostly everyone would have done the same. Sure he might didn't get what his agent initially thought that they would by holding out but that's part of business. He deserved a bigger contract.

Either way I think that he will be back in a week or 2 and will be making big plays for us again and everyone will love it. He's proven to be durable. By time we have to play the chiefs, lions, Broncos, eagles, etc, he will be ready and the duo of him and Deebo with an improving Luke will be dynamic to go along with Jayden and Bill. Be patient. Terry deserves that from the fans

Terry did deserve a bigger contract, that’s why he eventually took the one AP & Co. were offering him from essentially the beginning of the offseason. And it’s a nice raise. What he was asking for and the leverage he thought he had was insultingly delusional. This is probably a better discussion for the Terry specific thread, but he is the furthest thing in the world from “Mr. Commander” to most fans right now, and for good reason.

Terry’s actions went beyond a normal holdout. In fact, after he finally signed his extension and ended the holdout, he defiantly reiterated that his trade demand was serious and not just a negotiating tactic. That’s far beyond a “business as usual” holdout, in fact it really sucked, and it will reflect on his legacy here unless he does something special.

Terry and Noah are officially out. Deebo is day to day but it sounded like he felt like Deebo is a go.

DQ was asked about why they didn't IR Noah since this will be 4 games and DQ basically said that you never fully know how some of these injuries will play out and you hope they can improve. I'm guessing that's his same stance on Terry since some were saying that he shouldve been put on IR.

He's probably also getting timetables from the doctors that are saying like 2-4 weeks instead of a definite 4. Also like Noah, it did allow him to have a couple of full practices this week which he wouldn't have been able to do if he were on IR so that does speed up his return. Hopefully the same for Terry

I listened to it. Sounds like a pain management thing with Deebo but he wouldn’t commit one way or another to him playing.

I don't know why they don't just move on from Noah Brown? Before coming to DC, he managed just 2 full seasons, the other 5 he missed significant playing time due to injuries.

I don't care how talented you are - at some point you are kidding yourself that it will be different here.

I don't know about moving on from, because he's better than Moore and Tee Martin, who are two of the receivers who have been active the last 2 weeks, but I would have IRed him earlier.

Same for McLaurin.

My guess is they will give Deebo some super duper strength Tylenol and he'll play.

To your point, if they had anybody better, they probably would have moved on. But they don't.

Oddly, the injury report on the website has not been updated with yesterday's updates. Once it is, I'll post.

Yea but I mean that he didn't seemed worried about it. If we had no Deebo, Terry, and Noah then he would be more concerned about Deebo. He acted the same way last week towards Deebo but when they asked Deebo about it after the game, he said that he was always going to play. Plus the way DQ talked about it not being long term and that it will continue to get better, let's me know that if he played on it last week then he's definitely a go this week, otherwise DQ would say that it's something that is long term or can get worse

I think that is because there was no practice yesterday?
They have to release an injury report for 3 consecutive days leading up to the game. Normally it's Wed, Thurs, Fri. When it's a Monday Night game, it's flipped a day. The space for the update is there, but it's not filled in. Maybe the media guys are off because it's Saturday? I dunno. It's a little odd.

Here is Thursday's again....

Well Moore is always dropping passes, Lane is an unproven rookie who is improving, and Luke is just now really making plays consistently for the first time in his career. Couple that with Terry having big injury issues and Deebo having nagging injuries, you really had no opportunity to really drop him until now since you finally have more faith in Luke and Lane but everything is still rocky tbh and I'm not even a fan of Brown

They did release one yesterday, right after you posted your question but they call it an estimation since there was no practice

I see the requirement to produce a report 3x leading up to a game, not 3 consecutive days. But what do I know?

I struggle to see the emojis on my phone so you just got a thumbs up, but this is a fantastic post, thanks. Could we maybe have a 100% emoji or something similar?

There's also something wrong in the locker room in Philthy and we're seeing cracks in the foundation. I'm here for it.

Here's to being tired for the division by Tuesday.

Hail.
I can't wait to bump this a second time after the second half of this prediction rings true. Let's kick some ASS Monday night!!

The Philly thing has always been simple to me. Hurts is just not a good passing QB and the skill position players will eventually always get upset by it even though they don't want to throw him under the bus. Their fans and media are the same. They had issues with his passing all last season and didn't see him as a top QB all year and through 2 playoff games but then he plays well against us and KC and everyone wants to defend him, call him top 5., and you are an idiot if you say otherwise Now they are back to throwing shade at him again
