Official Game Thread - Week 6 MNF - Bears @ Commanders

McLaurin not practicing today and DQ didn't seem as positive as he was a few days ago about his possible availability Monday but he also made it sound like they are holding him out today because they have an extra day of practice this week, being that we don't play until Monday night

Can't help but thinking that McLaurin would have done better with Bill's agents.

I hope the run game will feast this week and in turn open up the passing game. I want total offense and defense domination. We haven't seen that in a while.

I think it's these guys.

If Terry still isn’t practicing, I’d sit him. It sounds like the injury may have been a hip flexor and I don’t think he’d have sought out a second opinion for a 1 to 2 week injury. Let him heal for the tougher games that are coming up.

The problem with that is it takes him a month to get going.

For those wondering, an injury report has not been released yet on the team's official website. I guess it gets thrown off by a day for Monday Night games. Or something.

Also, PLEASE create and put the lookalike stuff in a separate thread. Pretty please with sugar on top.

Yes, Monday night games have an official injury report on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Today will be the first official practice report.

Analytics hold up here. Sad to say but TM is much more a part of our past than our future.
Agree.
He could say he was "up to speed" all day long, but if you're missing time with your team because you choose to, you're not.

I keep wondering if he hadn't held out and held in if he would not have suffered this injury. It seemed like such a routine tackle. I mean I get that a player can get hurt on every given play, but it just feels like his body wasn't ready for football. He was probably in "good" shape, but not "football" shape. In my mind, that was a bigger factor than age.

And he wasn't really "gelling" with the team. I know he and JD5 had been in the bubble on passes, but that doesn't necessarily translate into "game play".
He simply wasn't ready. And it's his own fault.

Keep going no huddle. We again lead the league by far, just as we did last season. We go huddle in over 60 percent of our plays while the next closest team is at 28 percent. It fits Jayden and our roster perfectly

I agree, but we need to rotate personnel a bit less while doing it. Every time we sub someone, we must give the D a chance to, which wipes out a bit of the advantage we’d have knowing what personnel they’re stuck with on the field (plus sometimes they drag ass to slow us down even though the refs try to prevent it). That’s why having skill guys that can block and catch is huge, we shouldn’t need to sub so much and it’s gimping our own advantage. If the D gets caught with poor personnel you can even force them to burn timeouts.
