Official Game Thread - Week 6 - Commanders @ Bears

Hey, if I'd taken the beating Fields did I'd be doing some deep cleansing breaths too!

That penalty was outrageous Chris! Look - the D is not our problem. Let’s see the D when our offense can convert 3rd downs and they aren’t on the field the entire first half - it’s going to look better in the 2nd half :)

It was an ugly game but a win is better than a loss. And btw, this is what you get to wear when you’re the QB and had the best block of the game…

Seemed like he was wearin camouflage when he hit Smith, because Smith looked like he didn't see that comin !

Probably a little exaggeration though. I mean, how did Chicago win 2 games out of their first 5, to go 2-3, if they're that bad ?

Yes, it's an exaggeration. But the Bears are a bad team. So are the Commanders. Both played worse Thursday than they have all year. So I think it was more about the game they were watching than it was about how the teams are.

I just checked to see who the Bears beat, and now it makes sense.
They beat the Texans, who may be the worst team.
And they beat the 49ers, who don't seem to be nearly as good as many people thought they'd be this year.
The 9ers just lost to Atlanta today 28-14. So I could envision the Bears squeaking a win by them.

Justin Fields doesn't impress me very much. If the Bears are looking for a top quarterback prospect, my prediction is they will be back in the market after they give Fields another 2 years and then decide not to exercise the option on his rookie deal.
