Official Game Thread - Week 6 - Commanders @ Bears

Right now, to me, he's clowney. He hasn't really lived up to the pick yet and I could see him bouncing around the league if he doesn't get resigned with us.

That’s probably a good comparison and I hate it that it is. Clowney has been seriously overhyped since that one college play. He’s had a handful of plays in the NFL and as you said, has bounced around. I hope Young does not become that.

Young had an impact rookie season showing great promise and then got hurt.

I don't see how we can make any determinations about him until he comes back and we see a larger sample size.

Certainly, it seems Montez Sweat was more productive with Young on the other side of the line of scrimmage.

Young also helped to cover up the fact our linebackers in the run game are below average.

This year runners are having an easy time converting third and 2 or third and 3 plays and our linebackers get pushed back on a regular basis.

Davis' one asset is his physical measureables and speed and outside of using him in a rushman role seems to be a fish out of water.

Davis reminds me a bit of LaVar Arrington and what he became in the NFL. A guy who could get 10-11 sacks when healthy but was otherwise useless in coverage and average at best against the run.

Well, that's not going to help us.

Looks like Turner is going to need to.....run the ball!! The horror!!

Not proud of it, but I'll admit my first thought was "maybe we'll see TH4!"

Tough to run or pass with an offensive line on its third center and on guards that evidently are way past their primes.

If the team loses to the Bears, there's no reason not to see Sam Howell for the balance of the season.

Let's be honest, this team isn't going anywhere. Starting 1-4 and facing the teeth of the schedule after Chicago, Washington is not going to win the East or rebound and win 10 games and earn a wildcard.

Standing at 1-5 this would be basically a lost season and to me that means looking at players like Howell.

Carson Wentz's contract has a team option after 2022 and the thought of exercising it is simply ridiculous at this point.

It's not that hard to run. You run off tackle plays, you run sweeps, you run screens, you run the QB if he can.

If the tackles can seal an edge you'll get 3-5 every play.

Going against a team weak against the run....why not start the rookie who's had one career start over the proven vet?!!

Anyone think we will get some more good commentary like this tonight?

I wish the Manning brothers were doing this game.

I just wish the game was on real TV. It’s a much clearer picture than streaming. Some have told me they have no issue, but when I watch ESPN+, I have no issues. Just these NFL games on Amazon.

Amazon has a lot of work to do with live sports I concur

I'm ready!
Some would call this "Pre Gaming"
I look at it as "Pre Medicating"
At least I'm off tomorrow. If shit goes downhill, I'll binge watch "One Piece"

Remember Joe Jacoby wrapping his hand up into a big ol club and playing.

Guess they don't let them do that anymore....
