Official Game Thread - Week 18 - Commanders @ Cowboys

We play TB in round 1. Lattimore has to be back for us to have any chance.
 
I want us to win, but we are still playing with House money.

I can't decide if we are the Bad News Bears or the Mighty Ducks. A try-hard team with too little talent, but a whole lot of fight. We have overachieved all season. It's been a fun, fun ride.
 
My favorite play of today. Malik Hooker thinking he’s on the medal stand in the 68 Olympics while Mariota has nothing but open field to run through.

Hail yes!

So, one fun thing so far is that each of the second times we faced a team we did better.

We only managed field goals the first time against the Giants. The second time, we walloped them.
We gave up a fourth quarter lead and eventually got blown out by the Eagles the first time. The second time, we stormed back and stole the game.
We played lousy for the most part against Dallas and missed an extra point. The second time, we got it done and won.
 
Week 1 was a perfect storm working against us. Jayden's first game against an exotic Todd Bowles blitz-heavy defense, insane heat and humidity, Whitt trying to run a more complex defense than our guys were ready for, no Lattimore, etc.

We lost Noah Brown but they lost Chris Godwin (who's better). I'm already scared of Rachaad White and Bucky Irving and our pathetic pass rush is unlikely to get to Baker but hopefully we bend but don't break and our offense has one of their good days.

Btw, why no carries for CRod or McNichols today I wonder?

I wish the new fan forum well, but BGO is home now. Home is where the family is, and KDawg, Voice of Reason, MartinC, and other familiar names are family to me. Now if only we could find Califan.

Y'all, I remember Stafford here at UGA...he's an absolutely STELLAR qb that got stuck with the Lions until ... well, now.

He's got serious weapons. DO NOT underestimate him.

Just bake Baker. He ain't got shit compared to Nacua and Kupp.
 
pittman4two was funny when he he first started posting, he had a knack for miss spelling players name that made me laugh
 
Yeah it was the best thrown pass in the game up until that point, by either team.

The sky is the limit for this team if they can clean up the self inflicted wounds. Penalties, dropped passes, missed passes. And unlike years past, some of these things are just a little bit off. So a little bit more work and a lot more efficiency can come from this team.

was it a duck though? it looked like Zaccheus had trouble tracking it
 
It would be nice to score a TD and not give up points on the next possession. I know it's not every time but it sure seems like it

Tampa is a very very winnable game. But yes, having a healthy Lattimore to match up with Evan’s would be extremely useful!

And not waiting until the second half to get the offense rolling will be a must.
