Official Game Thread - Week 15 - Commanders @ Giants

Draft position only fell 2 spots. Giants unfortunately might get a bounty of draft picks in a trade. But it still feels good to have the players/team win against a division foe.

We've now got 4 straight wins against the Giants. That feels good.
Yeah, we also ended that losing streak thank goodness and extended the Giants loser streak

Ah, the dubious joys of two equally bad teams putting together a kind of watchable if not entirely enjoyable game.

Glad to see the losing streak end, but definitely not looking forward to the last three games of the season. Mariota plays ugly, but can make interesting things happen. Philly, unfortunately, will probably make him look bad.

Edit: while he had some good plays today, Dart didn't exactly inspire and had some downright bad throws. Hopefully he'll keep the Giants mediocre until the draft another mediocre quarterback in 4 years' time.

Well, no shit. Only time I can think of players caring about that, conceptually but not actually on game day, would be when WR’s with contracts already know they could get a QB or something. And they’d never admit it.

It's probably hard to tell from the TV, but how did Coleman do when he subbed for Tunsil?

In the plays I paid attention to he did pretty well. here were a few tries where the announcer Vilma (so sucks) mentioned how after Tunsil went out protection has been much worse. I notice some of those situations didn't have anything to do with Coleman as he blocked his man

A big play for him down the seam, love to see it

He unfortunately doesn’t look very athletic
I did like his stem though, even if it looked a little odd. Speaking of TEs, I hope Yankoff’s alright. He’s another I’d like to see get some action in these last games.
Hamilton is having a game.
As of now, I would not mind him being our #4 next year.
I will also say, nice to see JCM given sort of a bellcow game with CRod out. Want him to end the season on a high note. He looked confident and ran with purpose
I hope his… knee(?) is ok, because I’m right there with you. The fumbling is problematic though. He could use the Tiki Barber treatment, lol.

I think we should give a shout out to KK. He really leaned into the running game recognizing it was effective. Couple of thoughts:
-thought the ground attack was successful for most of the game. I love Bill's running style, but damn he's got to clean up the fumbling issues. Better teams will make you pay.
-Hamilton had a very solid outing today. It seemed clear that the giants wanted to pick on him and he answered the call. Its a small sample size, but ill be watching him over the remainder of our season to see if he can sustain it. If so, he could possibly be a depth guy for next year.
-Coleman played well in relief of Tunsil. He, at least to me, is a tackle which is why it seems odd that they wanted to move him to guard this season. Perhaps gave up on him at tackle too soon? Which makes me wonder what his role is with the team moving forward.

HTTR!
