At this point the best thing for the team might be to lose to better set us up for a better draft position. I however will not be able to root for this. I hate the Giants and want to kick their freaking arses!

Please begin giving some of our younger players more opportunities.

Unfortunately the Giants may have the same mind set going into this game. Maybe a 73 -72 score line as each defense "accidently" misses tackles.

Obvious response to this would be "yeah but we don't need to "accidently" miss tackles, we do it anyway.

All in jest, there are plenty of players and coaches on both sides that are fighting for careers and will play like it.

There was one play when the Vikings scored and it looked like 3 Commanders players ran into each other.
I am trying to raise my kids (7, 10, 12) as Commanders fans, and sometimes it is tough. I switched to the 3 stooges at that point and called it a replay.

Anyway, they are still on-board, it helps the whole family is lifelong fans.

Yes, every game is an audition. Win or lose, you need to see the right decisions being made by coaches and coordinators, and the right execution by players. You are still playing another team, so you may win, you may lose, but the process has to be right.
My contention is we have had process problems all season long. That points to issues deep in the coaching staff.

Major draft implications in this game, it will be funny if both teams are trying to lose. Of course we are so bad it might look that way even if we aren’t.

IMHO the best thing for the team is to continue getting reps and developing. Losing helps draft position, but the bigger value here is getting guys like Conerly and Magee positive development. Getting as many guys 'locked' into the roster for 2026. I still believe were past the point of 'blowing it up' so now it's development. The score of the game is secondary. If we can come out of these 5 weeks with Jayden getting his feet back under him. Conerly continuing to perform. Magee taking another step. Treylon Burks proving he's worth the long term plans. Finding a viable pass receiving TE now that Ertz is on the mend. Getting a feel for Drake Jackson and what he can do. Re-establishing Sainristil as a viable CB. Getting Will Harris back up to speed.

IF, BIG IF, all of that were to happen, i would imagine we don't lose out. I'd rather sacrifice the draft position and check a lot of those boxes, than I would prefer we lose and continue with even more question marks.

Do we really need to worry about whether we win any more games.

We suck. We just lost by 31 points and were shut out by a 4 win team. We lost 5 games by 20 points or more. We suck.

This team should be having all the young players play, and play hard to show what they have. And they should be doing it with Jayden the team leader, as the QB if he is considered healthy. He needs reps as much as the WR's need reps with him and he with them.

I just don't want the coaches to have the must win to save my ob mentality because that's where you risk the health possibly injured players or of not allowing young players to develop and be evaluated for next season.

Now is the point of the season where all of these games are just about must lose games, even with Jayden, you just hope that he looks great in a 41-40 loss.. Lol

Schoen and Kafka will want to win. They have zero job security unlike AP and DQ

Oh yes, their jobs are distinctly on the line

These next few games are generally huge for the league’s perception of Kafka. He was a bigtime rising star in 2022 after DJ had the big year but it feels like his stock has gotten crushed a bit since. This is his chance to help himself for a future role, even if it not in NY

God I hope they keep Kafka...so maybe a pointless Giants win is what the doctor ordered

But I also loathe the Giants so very much...

This game outside of the Washington and New York markets is going to generate 5 sets of eyeballs :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

JJ McCarthy could barely tie his shoes in this league until he played us. How is Dart not going to destroy this D? He can run all around these slow LB, as well.

He's not coached by a Shanahan disciple?
