Official Game Thread - Week 10 - Steelers @ Commanders

We'll never know but in this game, with the game in the balance, the team choked. And that includes #5.

I had wondered the same thing. FWIW DQ was actually asked that very question in the post game press conference and he said no, that it had nothing to do with a short week against a division rival.

Well, he would never admit to it, of course.

I don't at all think they blew off this game. I think they rolled the dice resting some players on a non-divisional game and came up one point short.

It makes no sense. In 2020 we beat an 11-0 Steelers squad in Pittsburgh. Then we lose today.

Then Ron Rivera lost to a Bears team that hadn't won a game in an entire season. That's just what he did somehow. Glad it's over.

Can't argue with this logic.

We beat 6 different teams this season so far, so it's nice to know those teams will never beat us again.
Just saying the 2024 team is superior to 2020 and the 2024 Steelers are not as strong as the 2020 version.

Oh great, now RedZone is showing Pittsburgh as the drive of the day. Give me a fucking break.

Here comes trey lance to save the day

*Edit. Nevermind. They brought him in for a two plays. Realized he sucks and sent him back to the bench.

That 2020 team was smoke and mirrors. That team collapsed down the stretch, lose 4 or their last 5 games, then got smoked in the wild card round by the Browns.

Eh, I'm not worried about this game, nor can I bring myself to cheer for dallas. 😁

Washington still plays the eagles twice this season. They control their destiny with them.

If they can't beat them, then Washington doesn't deserve to win the NFC East.

Yeah, I've had a few people ask me this. I told them this dal v phi game means absolutely nothing. The game Thursday against the Eagles and the game on 12/22 are what matters. If they can't win those games, then they most likely aren't winning the division.

Is that you Jumbo?

I was seriously thinking about asking who he was…but then he probably would have said “your mom” or “screw you bitch”….and then I would not have been able to sleep tonight….at all.

It’s probably been more than a year since we had to moderate someone but I have now. We’re nice guys but we do have our limits.
Kinda figured it was coming, with the huge influx the morons are gonna come with it and you have no choice.

For all the hell Jumbo took On extremeskins he had a monumental task of controlling idiots on the Internet in large numbers and although he wasn't perfect I respected him greatly for the job he did keeping the place clean.

We will handle things here like we always have. We expect folks to play nice with each other. If and when anyone goes way over the line we'll quietly address it. Just like in any community, participation is a privilege that comes with basic expectations. It's not hard - for most of us.

You know Pitt did that no one else had done? Stopped JD5 in his tracks anytime he tried to run. We haven't seen that this year. Maybe they got practice going after Fields this summer in camp. Kind of the same way Baltimore beat us, whose D is used to Lamar between bathroom breaks.

Sucks that we couldnt get the ball back so JD5 could get another shot at a hail mary. And suck we didn't win to stop the waves of Pitt fans wanting to take over our stadium next time. When they showed that stands, I saw maybe 1 burgundy towel and hundreds of piss yellow being waved.
Actually, the Ravens did a really good job of it.

My kid suddenly loves football out of no where 3 weeks ago and got teared up on the fateful Neuton Zone sic Infraction penalty. Said Pittsburgh was cheating. So proud to see I am not the only one overly emotionally invested in my house.
I think we all remember when we were there and that moment where it all mattered to us that we may have cried. I used to hate going to school after a loss and that even carried into my career a bit too. I think the last several years numbed that feeling for me. But I know it's hard to see others taking these losses so hard. It means we all care again and that is a beautiful thing.
