Official Game Thread - Week 10 - Steelers @ Commanders

Disappointed in the loss but I think we are on the right track. We have a young team and they will learn from the mistakes made today.

On another note there are few things more obnoxious than seeing that many Steelers fans in our stadium. The ownership group really needs to do something about this. The Pennsylvania teams are able to have a home game in our Stadium every year and it’s absurd. Also, how easy it to be a fan of a six time Super Bowl Champion? If you aren’t from Pennsylvania and you are a Steelers fan it’s impossible to take you seriously,

I’m a little salty at the moment.
We keep playing the way we are, the away team takeovers of our stadium will become a thing of the past, methinks.

We often hear about trying to keep mobile QBs in a phone booth. Pittsburgh did exactly that today.
You know what Pitt did that no one else had done? Stopped JD5 in his tracks anytime he tried to run. We haven't seen that this year. Maybe they got practice going after Fields this summer in camp. Kind of the same way Baltimore beat us, whose D is used to Lamar between bathroom breaks.

Sucks that we couldnt get the ball back so JD5 could get another shot at a hail mary. And suck we didn't win to stop the waves of Pitt fans wanting to take over our stadium next time. When they showed that stands, I saw maybe 1 burgundy towel and hundreds of piss yellow being waved.

This team is still young.

I don't necessarily mean young in terms of the player's age, but young in terms of how long this group of coaches and players have been together.

Just ten games. To be 7-3 with a rookie QB with the possibility of being 9-3 and 4-0 in the NFC East division in a couple of weeks is pretty remarkable.

I have a feeling that they rolled the dice a bit in this game and rested some players (Robinson, Wylie, Lattimore) because of the short week and the more important game this Thursday. It's better to have those guys ready for the eagles.

At least that is my story. 😁

I had wondered the same thing. FWIW DQ was actually asked that very question in the post game press conference and he said no, that it had nothing to do with a short week against a division rival.

If Newton doesn't immediately lose the game, I think we win it. We would have got the ball back with just under a minute, and only needing a field goal. I feel like Jayden and co. would have pulled that out.

As it is, Steelers have a nasty defense (2nd in the NFL), and we just put up the most points on them than any other team has this year.

I think we'll be ok.

This game doesn't matter but it was a game they should have won, just beat the Eagles in 4 days.

Hopefully the cowboys can beat them up some right now but so far it's not looking good.
