Official Game Thread - Week 10 - Steelers @ Commanders

Wasn't that the game where some steelers fan put his hot charcoal grill back into his vehicle which then burnt up a dozen cars? That happened in our lot but thankfully, we were a few cars away from it.

I couldn't imagine finding my car burnt up after the game.

I believe it was, that definitely sounds familiar. I wasn’t at that game, but I do remember walking by a car years ago on the way into the stadium that was fully engulfed lol.

I’ve had my share of being sloshed in my life but never so out of it that I would put a hot grill back in my car.

Going to be a tough one. Steelers D is always good and their O is looking much better with Wilson at QB. I live in Pittsburgh at the moment and my neighbor and a few other people I know (steelers fans) are making the trip out there. Hopefully we can keep them quiet all game like we did during the Bears game.

Besides, our dumpster fires have traditionally been on the football field.

Yeah. We are gonna need BRob badly. Looked like Ekeler got banged up in the last game as well. Missing both would be very bad for sure.

As we'll talk about in our pod later this week, Steelers rush D is insanely good, pass D is much more vulnerable. I think we might go full on Air Raid in this one. They have only averaged 22 pts per game (yeah, better since Wilson came back but I still think 30+ points likely wins this game for us). I also think our WR Corps is coming to life now. Noah Brown went off vs. the Giants. I think a big game is inevitable for Sinnott and/or McCaffery at some point. And even Dyami Brown is getting in on the action.

I’m worried about coming out flat. I think the last two games they looked flat and we were lucky not to lose both of them. We need a fired up defense and someone that can block Watt

Good luck trying to ahut Watt down but the good news is that the Giants had 0 sacks on Sunday despite leading the league before the game.

Break out fast and hard on offense. Own the clock. Need our D to be strong with limited big yard plays and especially getting turnovers. Need many 3 and outs. Gonna be a tough game.

Love our team but we need to play above our heads right now and it's great that we are at home. If we can win this game and we need to play our best game of the year on O and D, we go to Philthy with a 8-2 record and I wouldn't be upset with a loss there going into the much-needed bye at 8-3.

I've said several times this year, when we were going up against a tough opponent, that I believed we needed to start with the ball and score right away. However, we keep deferring. It has been fine for most games, but not so much against the Ravens...

Wilson is a 50QBR qb at this point. He's due for at least 1 Int and a few boneheaded plays.

Fortunately our QB doesn't do any of that.

Have to be really happy with the OL so far this year. I was all in on signing Biadasz in free agency. And he has really solidified the middle of the line. Allegretti has been pretty impressive as well.

Russell Wilson is not going to beat you with his legs anymore, but he’s fully capable of finding the open man off schedule. Defense will have to be disciplined and take advantage of any turnover opportunities.

And I really hopeful that Frankie Luvu is back to being himself next week… he may be the key to the game on that side of the ball.

Chinn was impressive last week, 13 tackles. Really the defense has been pretty damn good the past 4 weeks. They seem to be growing into their roles.

SMH, my apologies, Boone. You are correct. We do get a 10 day break, I think after the Eagle game before we play Dallas.

3 weeks ago on our podcast I predicted us beating the Bears and Giants, and then winning 2/4 to get to the bye at 9-4. That would be something and it's possible it could be better than that.
