Official Game Thread - Week 1 - Giants @ Commanders

Well that is a Kirk Cousins kind of way to end the half.
 
Jayden has had a few uncharacteristic mistakes, bad decision to run there and then the grounding, bad sequence for him.
 
Would intentional grounding have been called on Mahomes or Josh Allen on that play? What absolute garbage. from these refs. Guess they flew in from NY with the Giants and got to be good buddies on the flight....
 
Yep. Sloppy end. But overall, still getting after these dudes.
 
Mixed half. Pretty pleased with the defense. A couple of drops on imperfect but catchable balls. Daniels made a couple of mistakes. I am not sure that throwaway was an intentional grounding not with the way the NFL bends over backwards to not call intentional grounding.

It wasn't a bad call but whats irritating is they missed it, brady picked up on it instantly and announced it, and now in this day and age of automatic instant reviews somebody upstairs knew it'd be a controversial mistake so they called down and the refs threw the flag.
Call it a conspiracy but i firmly believe if brady hadn't called that out it would have just been a missed call and it doesn't seem right for smart announcers to be changing games.

Could be crazy but I think that was pretty obvious intentional grounding. Pretty bad play from Jayden there but I was surprised they didn’t just spike it. Must have thought they could catch them off guard
 
Bottom line, NYG has no business being in this game at all. Should be 17-0 but the refs have decided to keep NYG in it. If they get one lucky deep ball TD/PI or a turnover, they are right back in it despite being dead in the water for 30 minutes.

I really thought he expected Ertz to keep coming across the back of the end zone. Did not look like panic throw or throwing it away. Weird.
 
Here we go we need to put some more touchdowns on the board and close this game out solidly
