Quinn today at his presser seemed to not be very concerned with the production in the run game which was.....interesting to say the least. I wish there was a way to get C-Rod in the game to see if the O-line is really that bad at blocking or if B-Rob is either hurt or lacking the visions some times to find the lanes. However what I've been told is that McNichols use on special teams keeps him active as 3rd RB over C-Rod.

That is disappointing. This team would be a LOT stronger with even some slight improvement in the run-game.
Interesting about McNichols. That makes sense. I would almost rather they roll with 4 RBs in that case but it's certainly difficult to justify.

It has definitely seemed that when CRod comes in, we've had more production. Small sample size, sure, but it's tough to know/see that and then see him inactive vs. BRob at this point. CRod can catch the ball too.

It's a short week, I suspect for the vets, especially the older vets rest is more important than reps. As long as they're paying attention to the game plan and keep their head in the game I think guys like Wagner and Ertz will be fine.

Detroit is decimated with injuries. Hopefully. Ice cold from sitting around for 2 weeks. Looking at the line so proud of their bye and easy opponent. Looking past us at who they will play next, while really? Still thinking about last years choke job and wishing they didn't have to face the rookie of the year at QB. They all saw he won that game for us - ice in his veins cool as a cucumber.

Don't be scare of the Lions. Do you think Jayden Terry and the boys are scared? Ok maybe BSJ.

We should be scared of their entire offense. That team can put up points in bunches, and our DBs are seemingly lost in coverage constantly. I hope Marshon can shake off the rust and have a big game, because he got worked over by AJ Brown and Mike Evans recently. Assuming Whitt puts him on St. Brown, that's not an easy assignment.

I'm not confident our defense can stop that team. At all. I think it'll be up to the offense and Jayden to make some big plays and keep the game close. Make no mistake, the Lions are a great team; maybe the best in the league right now.

I don't expect us to win, but this season has been thrilling regardless. Just hope we put on a good show on Saturday.

I don't expect to win either, but we did beat the Bengals 38-33 and the Eagles 36-33 and the Lions defense is banged up. Point being, I think the key here is for our defense to hold them to 30 or fewer points and the offense to score TDs. Expect the same 4th down aggressiveness and we cannot fall short in goal-to-go situations like we did against Tampa. If we do those things, we have a puncher's chance.

The X-factor here is the Lions haven't played a game with any real stakes in months save for the Vikings game, and Minnesota laid an egg so Detroit never really got tested. Also, one of the Lions losses came against the very Bucs whom we just beat.

No, I don't expect to win. But I have faith in 5 and the team has earned our hope till the bitter end.

I thought our defense wouldn't stop the Bucs. Ball control goes a long way to helping. But it sure seemed like our D did good in their limited snaps, helped by 2 huge Buc gaffes of course.

I have to eat crow I thought Lattimore may not play despite all positive reports. Quinn gamesmanship. It seemed like anytime Latts was targeted Evans was wide open. Maybe he was at 90% just trying to not get hurt. He was playing off - prevent of sorts. No wonder they didnt fight. But he survived and largely grounded BSJ and in the 2nd half I didnt see Latts = good. Maybe Evans was doubled. The one time I remember BSJ was on that deep ball right sideline that 0 defended.... Ben whipped his head back checking for a flag lol. Latts @ 90% > BSJ @ 100%

I know the Lions may be "the best team" but I am not seeing blowouts. I see 1 vs The Failed Sam Darnold 2.0 Experience. And of course Chicago, which they can actually thank us for. I expect more ball control via fake hurry up like we did vs the Bucs. Going for it on 4th downs. Parlay Commies ML + Under.

People are too hard on the defense. We have no premium pass rushers, our one premium CB is coming off an injury, our DT’s are nothing remarkable either. And, we are the 10th rated defense in the league since week 4.

The coaching staff has really been squeezing everything out of the talent we have.

Tampa Bay has been scoring in everyone. They are 3rd in the league in total yards and 4th in points. They scored 20. And I didn’t see us regularly getting burned for deep TD’s like early in the year.

That being said, the Lions’ offense reminds me of that of the ‘91 Skins. Very good, but not great QB. Great OL. Great receivers and TE and RB’s. Balanced and can kill you with the run or the pass. Pick you apart with short stuff or hit a bunch of explosives in the running and passing game. They could score 45 on anyone in the league on any given night.

I don’t see us winning this game. But I want to see Jayden to continue to look good and I want to see us be competitive.

I don’t think the Eagles are unbeatable. If we beat the Lions, I think we can beat the Eagles. In fact, I think the Rams might beat the Eagles.

So, any time I see a bad play or a bad stretch, every time I see an uncovered receiver or a rusher get the edge or go through the middle of the D unmolested, my Norvitus flares up.

That said, we have improved a lot on defense. I think we are not yet a good defense, but we're somewhere between average and pretty good. It's a D you can win with. It's a D that can be part of complementary football.

It's a defense you can win with if you have Jayden Daniels on the other side of the ball, and it just so happens that we do.

After ~3 games Whitt simplified the D. I think that is code for attack more vs read react and get run over.

We have featured a lot of 5 man fronts more than any other time I can remember since Super Bowl 7. Luvu has been unleashed and when not making plays, is disrupting and the varied fronts are helping keep OCs guessing.

That's my take on the D improving and I am sticking to it like Randy White on Jerry Rice.

On the road, short week, playing the team with the best record in the NFC who is coming off a bye. No worries.

The good thing is, the pressure is all on Detroit.

They are the team with the top record in the NFC. They are considered top Super Bowl contenders. They have to live up to that.

Washington is the footloose, devil-may-care, nothing to lose team that isn't even supposed to be there. They'll probably be way more relaxed and energetic in this game.

It should be fun.

We'll see how well our defense does against Detroit this Saturday, but don't forget last week at this time, many of us were saying the same things about Tampa that we are now saying about Detroit.

That they can't be stopped.Our defense can't hang with them. We'll have to score 45 points because they'll score 42.

Our defense held Tampa to 20 points.

Anything is possible even if it isn't probable.
