Montgomery made tough yards for them. He was needed if they were going to slow things down and he had good running. I think they started to key on Gibbs better so I disagree that Montgomery getting carries was a mistake.

I don't know, I think you ride the hot hand. Reminds me of the game against the Panthers where Tim Biakabutuka ran for over 100 yards and 3 TDs in the first quarter, but George Seifert took him out in the second quarter as part of a pre-planned RB rotation scheme. Redskins came back and ended up winning 38-36.

The 4th dimension is time. There is a clock. Saw it in a James Bond movie once. Edit: meant to quote Voice_of_Reason instead of the OP; if only I'd taken a bit more TIME to doublecheck my post...
 
I didn't realize until i just looked at the box score that we scored 28 points in the 2nd quarter.

I was irate after the phantom face mask call. I was sure the Lions would win after that and I would have to stew all offseason about the refs screwing us. I guarantee they make that call reviewable in the offseason, too many missed face masks during the regular season, and in this case a fake one.

This team is straight resilient though. They said screw you refs we are just gonna keep scoring.

They did have dudes out but they still went 15-2.

We beat them at home, with a team that went 4-13 last year. No draft picks. The Lions were in the NFCCG last year and probably should have been in the SB but we just denied them that, again.

Lions fans have to be pissed. What this team has done is historic. There is no other way to put it. We've just jumped their destiny, lol.
 
First It was Washington couldn't be a team with a winning record. Then it was they would choke against the teams they needed to beat to make the playoffs. Then it was Tampa would beat them easily. And of course we had no chance against the Lions. Well they are one game away from the Super Bowl. HTTR!
 
Just rewatched the game. Aaron Glenn deserves a large share of the blame for the Lions' defeat. He dialed up the blitz repeatedly, even when Daniels not only handled it but excelled against it. He made no effective adjustments and the Lions just kept getting gashed. It was like watching banzai charge after banzai charge against entrenched Marines.

Yep.

He must've not read the stats that Daniels has been one of the best QBs against the blitz this season.
