I posted that I had read it, not that it was legit from MSM.

I think I remember reading that Hocculi hated the Redskins. Can't remember if it was this Hocculi or his dad. I also don't know if it's true, but he sure refs like he does. Hocculi should never have been allowed to be a playoff ref. His crew was so awful it's hard to believe they weren't corrupt.
 
Just read an article on Fangio and how he shows his team formations and motions, and discusses the percentages of what specific teams tend to do out of those formations and motions. That would kind of fit with some of what I think I saw in the Eagles games this year - it looked like the DL in particular were keying off of formations/motions and knew what was happening. They seemed to know a run was coming on multiple occasions.

More recently, I saw what looked like better variety but I wonder if there aren't a few tendencies of concern, like 4th down scrambles by JD. I hope Kliff didn't break tendencies in weeks 1 and 2, just to stop at week 3! I am really hoping he is ready to break tendencies again and turn this thing on its head. The Eagles seem very susceptible to that kind of playcalling because they do so much statistical analysis.

Thanks for this. Sent it directly to my son, who has (unfortunately) had to endure h8s father's obsession with this team since his ability to understand football (born 2001).

I'm so happy for my boy to see Redskins winning football, especially after all the stories I told him from the winning years I got to witness growing up.

Even if Jurgens plays, not getting practice snaps hurts. We saw that with...was it Cosmi? Biadasz? Alleg? One of those guys, who got hurt and the backup came in and it was rough, bc the backup hadn't taken any snaps.

So either way there's gonna be a dropoff at center bc either you've got Jurgens coming back in without snaps, or you've got Dickerson who's the backup. Probably not a huge dropoff either way tho, Dickerson is getting snaps and Jurgens is good enough to probably not need TOO many snaps, but there'll be a small drop off nonetheless.
 
With the extremely notable exception that Daniels is better than Hurts, I’m not entirely sure, from a player to player perspective, Kelce is wrong.

The Eagles are stacked, deep, and injuries aside, have probably the best roster in football.

If you said who’s the best player in the game, I’d say it was Daniels. Who’s number 2? Barkley. 3? Probably Carter. 4? If healthy, could be Brown. Our second best player is probably Terry. He might be the 5th or 6th best player on the list.

Again, apart from QB, pick a position where our player is markedly better than theirs, they have a stacked roster.

But.

It really doesn’t matter because football all is not an individual game. It’s a team game.

And as a team, we’re easily their equals. The proof is we split with them when we played them.

I’d say we are better coached on offense. Defense, eh. Fangio is excellent. But so are Whitt and Quinn. Maybe a push.

I honestly think if the two teams played 10 times, the Eagles would win 6 and the commanders 4. They are More talented. And that matters.

But then skins CAN and MIGHT win on Sunday. Even though, player by player, the Eagles have the better roster.

Detroit also had a better roster. We beat them.

That’s why they play the games.

No Goedert and no Jurgens would be huge.
 
Philly easily has the better roster but we have the 1 dude that can and will demoralize their entire team by making ridiculous plays on all 4 downs.

Hurtz is going to have his hands full, playing hurt and trying to exceed his own abilities, likely making some huge mistakes trying to keep up.
 
The one thing is that the Eagles D is tough but we carved it up the second time.

Sure by now all know that THE punkass Kelce that is now somehow on every pregame show on every fucking network being jammed down our throats said that he thinks Philly is better at every position.

I heard a guy on the radio say that Philly is better at every position. Except one. Quarterback.

So he said because of that he thinks the commanders will win. Philly's dream teams have failed before.
