Sure, a finger is different from a knee. But staff should NEVER let the players overrule staff. Ever.

I don't think we should be speculating about players 'want to' or whether they could play or not unless we have information in that regard. I was bitching about Payne leaving the game for a finger injury last week - until I saw the godawful xray.

We don't know. It's kind of unseemly to drag our own players when we don't know. Most of these players would KILL to play in an NFC Championship game, even minimize their injuries to do so. Seems unlikely any of our guys were looking for excuses not to play.

Regardless of what we think - let's be nice.

If he was unable to play this week he should have never played last week.

You mean like the Eagles did today with multiple players?

Do you know that the Eagles staff said "you aren't allowed to play anymore" and the players said "you're not my dad, i do what i want"? Whatever happened for them, I'd be shocked if the Eagles staff didn't explicitly give their approval case-by-case. And only the Eagles staff knows how serious the injuries were. Not you, not any other fans.

C'mon. The guy went out of the game. Came back in with a knee brace and could barely walk. Clearly, that was a player overruling his medical staff. If not, it was almost Shanny-like negligence.

3 bad fumbles cost Daniels. Who made few mistakes, a chance at winning the game early.

Exactly, I don't know. This frustrates me. I'm open to the idea that he is too injured to play. I'm also open to the idea that I want more info.

But we can end this side discussion. We're all super-frustrated. And really, it's either it's own thread or a conversation that will go nowhere because we don't have answers (which is the whole point.)

Yeah. Except all you need to do is nudge games in conjunction with gambling. Getting in bed with gambling is the warning sign, not a sign of less danger.

The issue is if the league is ever proven to be fixing games that will be the end of it.

If the NFL was ever proven to be corrupt, all corporate media would declare those who say so to be 'conspiracy theorists' and the league would pretend to be impartial for a bit. Then they'd hype up some other issue, and people would forget all about it. Kinda like "occupy Wall Street".

Tonight is day to be grumpy and mad and disappointed and to wail at the moon and use profanity that would make sailors run for cover.

Well I told myself that if Washington lost today, I would be disappointed, but not devastated. It's been a magical season.

Washington has been playing with house money for a while now. Today, the house went bankrupt.

One of the things that put me in awe of the team this season is no matter the game or the situation, it never looked too big for them.

Today, outside of surprisingly our rookie QB Jayden Daniels, this game looked too big for them. They didn't look like the Washington team I've watched this season. They looked jittery, nervous...just out of it.

It was a letdown, but I'm very excited for next season when this team has another offseason of work, practice, free agency and the draft under their belts.

Glad you're not the GM. Oline needs talent. I would like to get back to our roots of pushing people around in the run game.

Be specific. Who sucked this year that cost us going to the bowl. Wylie? He was no problem in KC and clearly coaches like him. Maybe the OL is not as bad as you think. Coleman was raw and will get better. The interior was good to these eyes. You want offense and so do I. I want skill positions. Dyami fumble. Ekeler fumble. McNichols fumble.

Our defense was close to atrocious. Almost the entire year until they unleashed Luvu and then just below average. We just gave up 55. But yeah Riggo drill... with Robinson and McNichols?
