New member here. Been a Skins fan since the Sonny vs Billy days. Season ticket holder for 20 years but recently stopped that when we couldn't even give our tickets away when we couldn't make a game. Past member of Extreme Skins until a few years ago when that site allowed politics to enter the stadium. Didn't know BGO existed until the other day either, or I would have joined earlier, sorry. I'm starting to find my passion for the team again now that Snyder is gone so hopefully, I'll be able to contribute a little.

Can't wait for the season to begin now that the team is being run by professionals.

I’m curious, in you’re not a big fan of the NFL how did you become a follower of the Washington franchise?

10 or so years ago I disagreed with some things on that site so I asked them to cancel my account. I rarely posted anyways.

ES was great…until it wasn’t. The censoring of opposing voices, the prevailing ‘better than you’, ‘smarted than you’ dynamic that evolved together with the heavy-handed approach not only exercised but celebrated by the moderators made it impossible to enjoy for me.

That is what led me here. Respected and respectful people who are not on a power-trip. After all, I am simply a fan of a game for entertainment purposes. Not one to be treated like a child by narcissists who have a jumbo-sized opinion of themselves.

We can't change yesterday...let's make today and tomorrow a better day. We can't eliminate the Snyder history, but we do have the HOG, AP, DQ and JD5 moving us out of Mordor and into the light.

ES was great until it wasn't is so true.

My only ban there was so stupid it was laughable. I was a newbie and did not realize that Huly led the 'welcome home' gatherings for away games where the fans sit outside and wave to the buses as they arrive back at Redskins Park late at night. Huly created her thread for that night's welcome home and the team had just layed an egg during the game so when I saw the warm welcome thread I couldn't believe it and replied only one word in the thread of 'Really?', like who would welcome home the team that just layed an egg earlier that day. I think it was Jumbo that ran a sweep of all the negative replies in that thread and banned us all for a week.

It pissed me off but I hung around until they let politics into the Stadium. That's when I left. Politics should never be allowed into the sports conversation.
