Those numbers above make that black jersey better looking than the current ones if they changed nothing else.

We grew up watching these twoWow, a lot of grumpy 50-something GenXers on a message board. Who would ever have guessed?

There is no black in burgundy and gold

Many did come up with better designs than they launched in 2022.I think it's because with that design the base color is black...but the fact that it is black is not the focal point of the helmet. The burgundy and yellow W and stripes really stand out with that variation, and it is without question better than the current black. I get the frustration regarding that aspect with some of the fans up to this point. Many of us can come up with better designs within 5 minutes than what they launched in 2022.
The best things to come out of the WFT era were some shirts. Also, I don't know if this was true for everybody else but a throwback helmet to the "Football Team" era was the last thing I wanted with the new brand. For me the whole Washington "Football Team" era was a sad time that needs to largely be forgotten. We did get a division championship out of it, but I would prefer to just remember them as Redskins for that one.

I feel exactly the same way and believe it will ultimately depress the revenue they would have made if they changed itYou are in good company here brother. I hate it, and Harris sticking with it is the one stain on his ownership record I will never fully forgive him for. But it is what it is at this point.

. If the new stadium opens in 2030 and the name is still Commanders for Game 1, that tells you everything you need to know.

I would pretty much agree with this staement, except I would stretch it to 2032.

I disagree.
My guess is they’ve concluded it would be either net neutral or more expensive to change the name again, which is why they aren’t doing it. If the name isn’t Red Wolves, Wolves, Warriors, or Sentinels, then there’s really no point in changing it again. Nothing else is going to land much differently than Commanders anyway.
If the name were materially hurting revenue, a multibillion-dollar franchise wouldn’t sit on it. If the new stadium opens in 2030 and the name is still Commanders for Game 1, that tells you everything you need to know.
