How do you feel about the Commanders Brand 2.0?

  • Vastly improved, if this is THE brand moving forward I’m satisfied.

  • I like the direction, but I still feel more to do. I will/have specified in thread.

  • I don’t like this new direction. I didn’t like the old either. They can’t make this work for me.

My bottom line is… I’m not letting anyone steal my joy from me. The name changed beyond my control. The brand changed beyond my control. The new uniforms are beyond my control… and that’s all there is to it. However, I’m going to refuse to allow these things to have power over me and the thing that I love. I’m going to like the new brand out of spite and I’m gonna teach my son to like the brand. I utterly REFUSE to be miserable about it or complain about it in perpetuity here or elsewhere. The Washington NFL franchise will live on, it will live on beyond everyone reading this, and there are unintended consequences for forcing this change that I believe will only be revealed through time. Not just with us but with other entities as well.

For me, the changes have as much power over your fandom as you allow them. You also have the power to walk away if you can’t live with them.

This is where I am as well (as soon as they permanently trash the white abominations). This is my grandparents, my parents, mine, and now my kids franchise. I will not let them take my family memories from me or the opportunity to make new ones.

I will never completely get over losing the name and more importantly the most beautiful logo in sports history. I will also never stop calling out the hypocrisy inherent in the decision and in the fact I have to still watch the KC Chiefs and their rituals. However, I will not dwell on it. In the end the only power I truly have is the purse and viewership. But exercising that power does nothing to bring the name or logo back and it allows them to win by taking my joy as you said.

I will wear my Skins stuff. Mix in the new stuff that most looks like Skins stuff and buy my son whatever he likes Skins or Commanders because it is our team not “theirs.”

You could be right here. Maybe the new " home " uniforms will just be a burgundy version of the " Super Bowl Era " uniforms, ( possibly tied into a Riggins number retirement ), and we'll get a new alternate with a spear on the helmet.

My new hat came today, it looked more pink in the picture but came out burgundy. I'm cool, it's great!

I thought the same thing!
Then I remembered that we're past the billionaire owner who skimped on the folks who loved and spent a lotta dough on "his most prized possession".

And it's a night game. Everything will be sold out before kickoff.
 
At least I get the BBQ ones...damn, that just looks sad...
