How do you feel about the Commanders Brand 2.0?

  • Vastly improved, if this is THE brand moving forward I’m satisfied.

  • I like the direction, but I still feel more to do. I will/have specified in thread.

  • I don’t like this new direction. I didn’t like the old either. They can’t make this work for me.

If we ‘need’ a white helmet (ps- we don’t) give me this as opposed to that.

Same here, feathers aren’t important to me, but I think it’s just everybody who is a fan of the team trying to come up with ways for Commanders to connect to the past in a way that was meaningful to them.

Whether it be the classic uniforms, the spear/feathers, a script W that looks like the script R, a gold face mask… before it was settled a name that was Red-anything, etc. etc. If we can’t have the Washington Redskins, we can at least have a Washington Commanders team that LOOKS like the Washington Redskins…. and perhaps with callbacks to the Redskins that are not overtly Native American. For me, the Greco-Roman style spear is an easy and obvious option.

I get that for many there is no way to make that work, and I’m not telling anybody how they should feel about it.
 
Were the “Super Bowl era” unis teased as “new uniforms”?

I wonder how much of a departure from those we’ll see because that wouldn’t be all that “new” considering the look was featured last year.

Unclear to me whether this reveal will be just our go-forward, primary uniforms, or if it will include an alternate set (ex new black).

Speculation has been a version of the SB Era whites (previously alternates) as the permanent whites, a new burgundy SB Era equivalent, and a new alternate (not known whether it’s a version of the blacks)

A burgundy version of the " Super Bowl Era " uniforms would absolutely qualify as " new ".

One question would be: Will they be with white pants, or gold, or both ?

Alternates dont have to be revealed until later on in the year.

If we do get alternates, I imagine they will be announced or revealed on July 9th.

Now you've posted that I can't stop looking at it. That's a gorgeous helmet, and like you I'm not big on white helmets (or the taco holder), so that is saying something. Sadly I'm guessing that's not a real option.

Yeah that white helmet is beautiful. Love it. Could be a great alternate if that is what they're planning.

Yeah, I suppose the burgundy versions qualify as new.

April 15 has to be something more than an announcement of the SB whites becoming the primary version.

The Riddell hint suggests a gloss helmet to me. Must be something different than the helmet used with our SB whites last year.

I doubt a full-on spear infused, Lombardi era alternate is coming out of those boxes.. but it would be whole lot cooler if it did.
 
There are also plenty of people complaining they’re switching back to a glossy helmet, lol.
 
I don’t care enough to complain but I prefer matte helmets. Then again, I think trying to merge the new logo and the old helmet is cringe so…
