Music Recommendation Thread

It's always interesting listening to her take on songs, but I have no idea what cave she lived in growing up. Or maybe she is pretending to never have heard anything before. I mean, she hasn't heard anything yet she is some sort of musician. HOW?

Know who you are and live everyday as if it was your last...GB 🙏

I had to spend some time on the rowing maching this morning so somehow I ended up listening to some 90's girl music but it works...

By the way, watch your videos on Opera browser and have 0 ads screwing up the experience. I can actually keep working out without having to hobble over to the couch to click off an ad. It's wonderful.

Well that one didn't work out too well.

Alright so I just created a song on Suno, it's supposed to be a techno tune about an alzheimers inflicted individual being lost trying to get to their doctors office while walking his cat.

I attached the file but it's not showing up. Too bad you all don't get to hear my debut single.

Here are the AI generated lyrics

[Verse]Sidewalk cracks they talk to me
Every step a memory flees
Cat on a leash pulling me free
Or is it the other way round
Doctor’s door I used to know
Where it is I just don’t go
Street signs blur like a techno show
I’m lost but I can’t slow down
[Chorus]Lost on the beat lost on the street
Where’s the way the rhythm repeats
The cat meows loud I feel defeat
Lost on the beat can’t find my feet
[Verse 2]Concrete jungle it swallows me whole
Echoes of thoughts I can’t control
Was I here or was that a goal
The past and the present collide
Neon lights they scream my name
But nothing feels or looks the same
The cat’s my compass but it’s a game
A spiral where I can’t confide
[Chorus]Lost on the beat lost on the street
Where’s the way the rhythm repeats
The cat meows loud I feel defeat
Lost on the beat can’t find my feet

Here is the website if you want to try making a few tunes for yourself.

Broke my bones on guitar in my youth with many Rush songs like this, Hemispheres, etc. Saw the tour at Capital Centre. Fucking amazing, some of their best work IMO. It still shapes my guitar playing and tone to this day...Boss CE2 chorus, tape and digital echo, flanger, volume pedal, etc. HUGE Influence on my style as a guitarist.

Funny, I was like 15 or 16 and in the hottest band in Columbia at that time. We played tons of Zep, Rush, Police, etc. Had long thick black hair and was fairly thin. We had house parties where they had large decks and lawns and we would pull 300 to 500 people in HS. It was PC for us (no, this was before "politically correct" 😈 ). $5 or $10 a head for all you can drink beer. "Those were the days" ♥️

It kills me that some people only listen to music from 20 30 or 40 years ago. Dormant ears. It's sad.

Did I post this? Love it...
