I'm listening to the SeriusXM top 100 for the 40th anniversary of 1985. (I guess I'm old) It's voter ranked but it's funny because several songs that were never even ranked are tops here. Robert Plant, and a couple Stevie Ray Vaughn songs, 2 Heart songs are top 5. It's like it should have been back then.

It's not over yet but I bet Dire Straits is #1.

Yep, Dire Straits, Bryan Adams, John Mellencamp were all top 5 from 1985. Not surprised at all. But the ZZ top songs were seriously overrated IMO.

I do as well…I think the reason this song is so popular is because so many do. Not unique to us even though it often feels that way.
