I've spent a lot of time listening to music but I keep trying to improve my system too

I am a devout a/v gearhead. Speakers at the front of my list. Hard to tell from that photo all that is there. Is that a tube amp on the top right?

Tube amp? 😀 THAT'S ALL I PLAY! Only hand wired tube amps! Even my speakers for my stereo are hand wired with 250W subs

There are actually 2 tube amps on the right and the rack on the left has a Schiit tube preamp and 2 Schiit monoblocks. The amp on top is the only thing not made in the US or Australia. It's a knock off made in China but it was still pretty expensive. The little Decware amp is down near the bottom.

I guess it's kind of dark. I don't keep the bright lights on much in the basement. I don't have any crazy 2000 dollar cables but one of them for the power conditioner is a few hundred but it was included when I bought it so I didn't have to pay for it.

My speakers are small but they are crazy loud, I don't crank it up much usually though. Sometimes I switch out the speakers and amps but this setup seems to be working out pretty good. I think I probably have way too much audio gear but I haven't been buying any for the past year or 2. I try not to visit those websites anymore because I always end up blowing some cash on things I probably don't need.

I bought this one for my upstairs TV room 2 years ago and it is very much worth the money for watching movies or TV and not bad at all for music either. It sounds much better at high volume though. On sale this 7.1 setup is sometimes 650-700 dollars and superior to Samsung and other soundbars that you find for 1000-1500 in BestBuy etc. You can increase/decrease the bass and treble, raise/lower the sound height depending on your room, increase the voice level for TV if you want. It also has several different settings for TV/movies/music or music to all channels which overrides the surround. I use that setting for music sometimes. You can also Bluetooth whatever you want to it which makes it nice to listen from your phone or tablet on the couch with much better sound quality.

I can't believe how live this sounds on my Solid State system right now. No tubes. The Schitt monoblock amps are awesome and not too expensive either.
