Music Recommendation Thread

My first show was Guns n roses playing in the community center in my little central California town when I was 14 in the summer of 1987. All my friends smoked weed there but I was avoiding it still but the place got so hot boxxed that I got stoned anyway lol.

Nobody had heard of gnr at that time but their album had just been released and I found it in the music store soon after the show, probably within a week. They weren't even on MTV until the next year so I had no idea why they didn't make it big, but eventually they did.

I had heard "Welcome-Jungle", but my boyfriend at the time & I lived in Jax and watched Headbanger's Ball every Saturday night. I came home from closing my Hardee's, walked in, and said, "What the fuck is THAT?" Did not expect Axl...never expected Sebastian Bach to be what he was, either. Missed their opening at Bon Jovi in Jax, where I lost my keys & somebody turned 'em in, so I got home ok. Girls were fainting & carried over the barricade all night, losin' everything...glasses, you name it, it was on that floor.

We also had Z-Rock, an all metal station on AM radio. Weird times to be alive.

My favorite ballet dancer that wore a bass. :love:

And there's my Journey affliction...

Chris, watched the same thing a couple week ago. Thing is one of their most famous, if not most famous, music skits was the cowbell skit, wasn't even mentioned.

Maybe this will make up for it…

I saw this tour. Meriweather Post Columbia. How the fuck did I get so old?

Hammerjacks Baltimore in 88?

Theatre Mogador 2nd night of the solo opening tour. Paris

Frankfurt first tour 84 or 85. Such a great show. She is sooooo sexy.

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :cool::cool:
Sorry, but after seeing you at "tea" in Berryville (I'm from Winchester) with Mrs. Skinsfan...that was a mind-blower.
I still wear my Testament shirt, seen 'em 3 times. (There's a story!) Seen Priest 3 times, almost got killed in the pit at Slayer till this dude ran over, threw me over his shoulder & carried me out...his beers were on me the rest of the night. Rush's "Roll the Bones" from the very back of the nosebleeds at the Omni, Floyd 2 nights straight at GT stadium, AC/DC, Aerosmith. Maiden twice.
Metallica twice on the Justice tour (Jax, ATL), Pantera only once with Biohazard (which prompted me to have a "hazardous material" decal tattooed on my right shoulder blade).

Edit: Megadeth twice.

Oh, another Rush, 30th anniversary tour (story there too!) We spent soooooo much money ... want a XXL baseball jersey? It was my husband's & cost a fortune, but it's yours for the shipping if you'd like. It's badass.
OH! I forgot to reply about the base ball jersey....I sincerely your generous offer, but XXL is too big for me. Thanks, again!
