Music Recommendation Thread

I’ll admit that I didn’t think I’d like this. Mark Morton is one of the guitarists from heavy metal band Lamb of God. I didn’t know how a country rock song would turn out, I think a lot of people know who Cody Jinks is. Great voice.

Great song! Not a country fan, but I love metal and like Lamb of God..

I’m working through the 3 hours of the ‘Ladies & Gentleman…50 Years of SNL Music’ production. It’s a video rabbit hole, a societal archeological dig of the 70’s and onward.

Chris, watched the same thing a couple week ago. Thing is one of their most famous, if not most famous, music skits was the cowbell skit, wasn't even mentioned.

Did they include Eminem & Christina Aguilera? Their performances were awesome.
Justin Timberlake?

Did not see that coming...
Yeah......my musical tastes are somewhat eclectic, but I lean towards, old school rock.... Zeppelin, Sabbath, Rush, Floyd, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, tec...just...too many too name.....but I love me some old school Metal too......Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Saxon, Maiden, Priest...bands like that....I'm also into stoner/doom metal....Monolord, Goatess, Sleep, Weedeater. I'll try to listen to anything.....I just "discovered" The Pretty Reckless....they are insanely good....how could I have missed this band?

Sorry, but after seeing you at "tea" in Berryville (I'm from Winchester) with Mrs. Skinsfan...that was a mind-blower.
I still wear my Testament shirt, seen 'em 3 times. (There's a story!) Seen Priest 3 times, almost got killed in the pit at Slayer till this dude ran over, threw me over his shoulder & carried me out...his beers were on me the rest of the night. Rush's "Roll the Bones" from the very back of the nosebleeds at the Omni, Floyd 2 nights straight at GT stadium, AC/DC, Aerosmith. Maiden twice.
Metallica twice on the Justice tour (Jax, ATL), Pantera only once with Biohazard (which prompted me to have a "hazardous material" decal tattooed on my right shoulder blade).

Edit: Megadeth twice.

Oh, another Rush, 30th anniversary tour (story there too!) We spent soooooo much money ... want a XXL baseball jersey? It was my husband's & cost a fortune, but it's yours for the shipping if you'd like. It's badass.

Yeah....I can clean up once in a while......with the exception of Testament & Slayer, (fuck...I'm jealous!!!), ....I've seen those bands that you've mentioned.......Rush twice, Floyd twice,(once in Philly & once at the Cap Centre on the same tour), Priest twice, Maiden 3 times, Aerosmith once and I'll be seeing AC/DC, (finally), this May, (The Pretty Reckless opens for them, which is how I discovered them), and Metallica for the 3rd time this May.... (1st time at RFK during Monsters of Rock...it was a great line-up...Kingdom Come, Dokken, Scorpions, Metallica & Van Hagar), and a too many other bands to name...the cool thing about the upcoming Metallica show is that Pantera is opening for them! Finally!!! I did see Zakk Wylde when he was in Ozzy's band....but that's not the same.....

My very first show was Bon Jovi opening for Scorpions right after I graduated HS in Knoxville visitin my cousin before I went into the Navy. Fuckin' fantastic show! Love Dokken and Kingdom Come. Dio with somebody in Jax, just too many to count. Going through the house packing up I'm finding all kinds of stuff! I've got a lot of stuff to post!!!!

I had posters of Alex Skolnick on my walls in my 20s.
