You kinda trashed the music, dude. And I didn't insult you, it was a friendly jab. If you want to take it personally and be insulted, go ahead I suppose. That's less than what you'd get at the bar with your buddies, that's for sure.

I didn't trash it at all. I even pointed out that it sounds like two bands that I like, and that I would like it without the the misuse of the bass. Not sure how that's trashing.

And I don't get anything at the bar, I don't drink :)

Really love the last one, but there is one of the guys playing really off beat from the rest, and I can't tell if it's the violinist or bass player lol.

edit.....after listening a dozen times (hey, I like it.....it's only on the chorus, and I am almost certain it's the mandolin player)

haha, jk. I don't necessarily require my music to have a mechanical perfection. Regardless, I don't hear whose off in the song, but that's probably because I've heard it so many times that I'm deaf to it. I know in the first video there are a few points where they're off but I chalk that one up to being a live performance.

Yeah, you successfully got me hooked on them, I've been listening most of the day. The singer is a dead ringer for my Uncle. To the point where the resemblance is freakish.

Oh, and fiddles and violins are the same instrument ;)

After one listen, I would say I think they're just ok. Buuuut, I also know that because the music is so uniquely done, and the vocals are really good, this will probably end up being a song I listen to a thousand times and become obsessed with shortly. Like that Trampled By Turtles song that Lump posted, which I would estimate I've listened to at least 100 times now :laugh:
 
Heard tons of great music during the trip...but can't remember any of it! Went to the Belly Up, a 400-person venue in Aspen that has hosted some amazing acts. We saw The Stone Foxes there, and they were pretty dang good!

Not really a recommendation because I'm pretty sure everyone knows who he is, but damn John Legend's "Get Lifted" album is great. One of the better albums of the last 10 years for sure.
