So sick and tired of hearing "fans" bust on fighters like GSP and Sonnen and others, for their "ground" fighting style. Why do you think they call it MMA ? Duh. Look up what the word "mixed" means...or even the words "martial arts", for an added education...If you want to see strictly "stand-up" then go watch boxing. Everyone is obsessed with seeing a virtual street-fight or brawl, that they can't appreciate a strategic fight, or watching a guy do whatever it takes to win, depending on his strengths.

So I just found the time to catch up on Monday's Ultimate Fighter.

Uriah Hall from the bottom? Are you kidding me? That's the most dangerous man in the sport.
 
Dylan appeared to be scared out of his mind. Like he didn't want to go to the emergency room. I think a lot of Hall's opponents are going to be too defensive.
 
I'm looking forward to this card tonight. Although Bubba on the main card is a farce. He did nothing to deserve that....except being a friend of Jones.
 
It's all a farce. Even Nick Diaz didn't deserve a title shot. No-one should get a title shot, after losing your very last fight (in his case, vs Condit). And his performance in the title fight only cemented that principle. The list of those goes on and on.
 
Fighters themselves have too much say in who they fight, in the UFC. That's a big part of the problem. It shouldn't be up to them, or have them be allowed to have such great influence over who they fight. There should be a legitimate protocol in who gets certain fights, especially title fights, and that protocol needs to be followed. On the contrary, their method of matching up opponents currently is a cluster ****.

Enough of guys "dodging" fights, or the opposite - guys pushing for, and getting fights, they don't deserve.
 
Samman on the prelims, while Bubba is on the main card is a joke.
 
I give Mir credit. He took some big shots that would have KO'd other people. Mir also looked the least tired of the two after the fight.
 
I would hate to be judging this one. First 3 rounds could've gone either way. Henderson won the 4th and Melendez won the 5th.

I hope Melendez gets the decision.

I really don't know. It was a split decision 48-47 all 3 cards. I'm more of a Melendez fan, but I can't honestly say he won the fight. It was just so close. Definitely deserves a re-match.

I do believe Melendez is the stronger of the two and if he would been more of an aggressor he would have won this fight.

I am of the old school of thought, you have to beat the champ to be the champ. If it was that close, it should have gone to the champ.

By simply being more aggressive, Melendez would have won it by the mere fact that Henderson would have been blinded by his own hair in eyes during heated exchanges, once his pony tail came apart.

Bingo. That was pathetic. His entire plan is now limited to hoping that the fight goes to the ground, where he can pray to break someone's arm.

There were some great fights that saved the card though.
