Yeah, that number makes him near impossible to trade too. Best to re-work a new deal that would a) benefit the team, and b) make him more tradable. This year, or next.

lets say we do take Amari cooper in the first you and a few others would go haywire but we fill a hole that will be there after this season and avoids scrambling next year
As for an overall plan, I'm sure BPA will rule the day.

Good, may have to polish mine up as well!
I'd love to have Potty Mouth in place of Chester, serious upgrade instantly. Probably all depends on how McLovin views how close we actually are to competing.
I would much rather our O-line be 100% drafted tho. This is just Win GM'ing but IMHO it'd lead to a stronger bond/development. They can FA the hell out of the D tho, if desired.

BPA isn't the problem - it's being WRONG about a player. Laron Landry wasn't anywhere close to being the 'BPA' in that draft - we just got it wrong. The BPA approach has produced winners, long term ones, in the NFL. But it's only an effective strategy if you talent guys capable of identifying those guys accurately, along with the 'intangibles' that McLovin talks about.
The whole point of bringing in McLovin was to finally have someone at the table who could tell the difference between an over-hyped marginal player, and a future difference maker. We supposedly have that guy now in McLovin. We'll see if he's the genius everyone believes he is.
BPA isn't 'best physical talent' only. It's not just about drafting physical specimens, players with great strength, or top of the line speed. It's about finding guys who can play the game at the highest level.
