Not sure about this guy’s specific takes, never heard of him. I skipped around a bit to get to the juicy bits, I have to say there were some Kliff quotes in there that didn’t inspire confidence that he’s a guy who wants to adapt what he does. The mood-killer quote for me was something like Kliff saying “I’ve seen the playstyle work going back to Arizona, so I’m pretty confident in it” (paraphrase). Also saying he “doesn’t really buy into the under center thing”. Defiance reminiscent (though I’ll admit not the same because Kliff’s not a total dunce) of Rivera thinking his failures in Carolina weren’t his fault and that he could keep doing the same thing. Now Kliff’s a confident guy. And he owes the media nothing. So not something I’m fixated on, it’s just coach speak to a degree. But on the topic here of expected improvement and growth the longer he’s here…that does require some humility and self-reflection. And willingness to change and do things differently. Even incorporating things you didn’t love in the past, that other people are having success with.

A couple of factors in the whole Kingsbury situation... Does Jayden Daniels feel Kingsbury is a good fit for what he does and what he wants to do. and does he like and respect him? And of course, what is the status of the relationship between Kliff and Quinn? Publicly, We all know that a top drafted QB has an incredible amount of sway in terms of whether he totally buys into his coaches. I don't think Daniels is the kind of player to go to Quinn and bitch about Kingsbury - which is why I've always bristled at RG3 comparisons, because that's exactly the kind of cat he was. But Quinn would likely be well aware how that relationship was going and whether it was a healthy one. I have long suspected that Quinn probably doesn't care for KK's propensity to put Daniels at risk with all of the designed runs. This season wasn't lost JUST because Daniels couldn't stay on the field, but it certainly was a major factor. You wonder if this isn't a source of tension both in the coaching group and the front office? There is a lot riding on JD staying upright and healthy and if Kingsbury isn't making that a high priority, I could see it creating a lot of stress internally.

I think in 2025, Occam's razor - that the simplest explanation is most likely to be correct - applies.

That doesn't mean Kingsbury doesn't need to work on some things.

We may lose Kingsbury regardless of what fans want or don't want. Ironically for those who want him purged, he will be a sought-after HC candidate. He may have philosophical differences with Dan Quinn. He may want out. Who knows?

But I think folks calling for his head, particularly in a season in which he was expected to work magic with scrub WRs and back up QBs. are way overstating his negatives and largely ignoring his talents.

Then there’s no discussion worth having, and you should lead with that point anytime you decide to step into the ring about it. Because there’s no common ground to be found if your beginning and ending point is “an offensive coordinator who was successful in year one can not do anything at all to ever deserve being moved on from after year two, and you are stupid if you disagree”.

Plenty of people not doing that who you aren’t quoting and disagreeing with. So taking the lowest common denominator post representing a position and then bundling anyone with that opinion as equally dumb, it’s easy, but it just isn’t productive. Plenty of posts detailing, in-depth, the skepticism over Kliff that has nothing to do with our record this year, our offensive production, the talent he had to work with, etc. It’s just easier not to engage with that stuff, when the topic makes you angry.

Being so emotionally invested in a topic that is obviously opinion-based, to the point where you declare it’s not worth being civil with anyone who disagrees with you, is really interesting.

If Kliff takes another job or is released so, be it. Some like the dude and some want us to move on from him. It's simple.

I actually disagree with you guys about KK, but I thought I would share that you are not the only ones to experience that particular brand of uncharitable reading, condescension, and plain rudeness. So I get your frustration, but as others have said, it’s really not that serious.

This has been a crappy season, and I think most of us have some feelings about it. Here’s hoping for a happier 2026, whether it’s with KK or somebody else calling plays.

hopefully that's the reason we're all here, and why no matter how 'heated' this conversation gets, the basis of it is all the same. What do I think gives us the best opportunity to win? As long as we all look back at that while we continue these debates, I think it softens the personal, and keeps it... fanatical. Also, whenever that day comes, no matter who was 'right' or 'wrong'... we can all high five together and celebrate.... til the new league year starts

5 teams have outscored what our defense has given up. One of them is Dallas who have an even worse defense.
