I watched several Seattle games last year, Fear. As the pass rush goes, so goes the Seattle secondary. Those guys are all big and hit people hard but if the QB has time that secondary stops being the best in the league and slides back toward the middle of the pack, Sherman included.
He is a sexy pick by the so called "experts" because he is a Stanford grad who is high profile, talks trash and had some serious success for a couple seasons. He gives great face and great sound bites. He is not a guy like Sanders, Green or Revis who can line up on a top WR and simply erase his existence play after play, regardless of what other 10 guys on the defense are doing.
Agree. McL screwed the pooch in not addressing the Dline. It starts with the lines. It's stupid simple IMO. It may be a passing league to score, but the running game is a great form of Defense. Stopping the run is critical. If your line can't do that, say good bye to safety help over the top. This team will be mired in mediocrity until it fixes the lines.
