It was mainly on other forums, but I read multiple times that Shanahan should play Cousins more in preseason. Some even said that with time Cousins would beat out RG3. I believe they assumed RG 3 was more like Michael Vick. Probably dumb to even bring it up.

From what I recall, Kirk got a lot of time in preseason.

Most folks complained that Griff wasn't getting enough reps during that time.... how could he possibly get ready without them.

The only reason to give KC reps is because of the worry that Robert will get hurt. Chances are he will before KC has left so keeping him involved should be done at some point. Too bad our defense is so bad or he could have played 2 quarters on Thursday. I don't recall anyone saying that KC should start or would beat out Robert. He looked good in the preseason for a rookie backup and I'm quite sure we all hope he stays right there.
