Introductions

Hello everybody!

Could this be what ES was all those years ago? Methinks it could.

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to get this off the ground. Much appreciated!

Extremely humbled as I am welcomed to this site by a fellow member of ES.com.

Greetings all. I am excited and glad to be a part of this.

Some of you know me, and those that do, it's great seeing you here. The rest, I look forward to getting acquainted.

Cheers!

So I used to be KevinB onES a long time ago. Use to go to games OFTEN and use to travel to away games anytime I could get someone else to. Now I work, travel, download games that I miss and cuss about the ones I can't. I still keep in touch with sevreral members here and on ES although difficult, many of you have become a part of my life. Thanks for the fellas for kickin it back old school.

What's up Kev - you're one of the more glaring pieces missing from that "other site." Hopefully this place will entice you to keep up more often.

The first Cowboy fan joins...this is deserving of some sort of special avatar (IMO). Clown shoes? ;)

Save the clown shoes for the inevitable arrival of a certain Eagles fan.

Oh yeah, I forgot to do my intro.

Became a Redskins fan in 1986. Neither of my parents were Skins fans. My dad doesn't follow football and my mom was a Baltimore Colts and Chargers fan (we moved a lot), although she really liked the Skins when she started to watch them. I became a Redskins fan b/c of how much of a community and how much love the Skins fans had for this team and the play and passion of the one and only Dexter Manley. When I played sandlot football as a kid I always imagined myself as Dexter hunting down a unlucky QB.

Had a chance to go to my first Skins game in 2001 (vs. Carolina, the Lavar INT game) and have been hooked with going to games ever since. 2004 was a great year for me as not only did St. Joe return to coaching but I became a season ticket holder.

And that year I got into football websites.........
I was reading Pro Football Talk and Mike Florio had posted this insanely funny cartoon about KW2 and the Poston Bros. by some guy named BANG. I wanted to watch some of his archives and it sent me to a Redskins site named ExtremeSkins. 12,000 + posts and 5 years later, here I am on another Redskins MB chatting with the same people that made ES so great years ago.

Last Dec. I took a long hiatus from posting on ES to start my own blog It Is What It Is..... and since then I've been trying to cover the Redskins in my own way along with other stuff that I find interesting (Comics, Movies, TV, whatever).

My deepest wish is to one day see FedEx have the atmosphere of RFK, to have 90,000 Redskins fans really get loud. I always saw RFK do that on TV and I want to be a part of that live one day. That's why you'll see me do threads about the 12th Man and us fans being the loudest fans in the NFL.

HTTR.

HI All,
I go by ljs on the "other board" ...thanks to a certain "big brother" I can now hang out here in a lil more peace and B/G obsession.

My Intro- never lived in DC, and a Redskins fan by miracle. We moved a lot when I was a kid, and I was originally from Washington State. In the early 80's, I became intrigued with football, and loved the Redskins...they were winning, they had cool colors and for some reason- I've always hated the Cowgirls. Oh, and I thought they were from my home state. No one bothered to tell me any different, and when I finally realized the difference between DC and the state- it was too late. So been a fan since I was about 7. (do the math that is 27 years).
Never been to a game in DC (hoping next season)..but have seen them 3 times in Seattle (92/08/09). I met John Riggins the year after he retired, I was young and he was really cool. The first Redskins game I went to in Seattle, senior year of highschool and I got field passes. I was just feet away from the greats like Monk, Green, Gibbs etc...4 rolls of film all came out blank cuz I loaded the film wrong. My only regret in life is not loading that camera correctly!

Glad to be here!

~Lori

Glad finally had a few spare moments to register. Look forward to getting reacquainted with some old friends and make new ones.

Feel giddy as a kid with a new toy. Now can someone point me to Daily Babe thread....:rotflmao:

Mind if I join this party?

It's nice to see so many familiar faces.

The site looks great and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.
