Howling for Howell

Why wouldn't we be there? Even if we. know we're canning the front office. When No. 2 & 3 battle there have got to be a ton of scoutable players.

What I know is that he doesn't play OLine and at this point I'm not in favor of taking anyone in the 1st round that isn't an OLineman. 😁
 
If they were to go QB with the 1st pick, I think that would about do it for me - especially if it's Williams who has bust written all over him imho.
 
And my only point is that 'Wolves' would be so badass.
 
If we went with Window Wipers we would be the only team in the nation with a triple aliteration.

Washington Window Wipers. Logo would be a viper just to confuse people. Actually, I might not hate Washington Vipers.

Yeah, imagine if we had drafted Christian Darrisaw instead of Jamin Davis, and maybe not dumped Moses to spare a few cap dollars.
 
I see a lot of bagging on the staff for dumping Moses but that move was considered solid by most of the fanbase at the time - myself included. Moses was often a liability for us who could not play a disciplined game. He gave up a well above-average number of penalties (as I recall), often taking us out of promising positions or putting us in bad ones.

That he came good somewhere else is not really surprising. Seems to happen with our former players a lot but I can't really believe things would have changed for him had he stayed in B & G.

I agree completely

That said, players going elsewhere and improving actually isn't as prevalent as people on twitter want to exclaim. Moses is also blocking for one of the most agile and explosive QBs in the history of the league, that helps ANY O-lineman avoid that 'sacks allowed' stat.
 
Moses was the most penalized right tackle in the NFL for two consecutive seasons.

Eventually he was let go not because of his play, though, but because of his vocal support for Trent Williams and Bruce Allen didn't appreciate that :poop:
 
Griffin trying his damnedest to get Sam to 'go low' and Howell just isn't that guy. He's not going to diss the team that drafted him, he's not going to cry and whine about his draft position. He's the anti-RG3.

He really did. I know there are many who apparently like the current media version of Griffen, I though cannot be counted among them.

When he came back from his injury in 2013 Griffin was a different player. The scheme that Kyle Shanahan came up with to hide Griffin's inability to read coverages and look for second and third targets in progressions was exposed when Griffin could no longer use 4.4 speed to get outside with his feet.

Based on what he did with a Cleveland team that failed to win a game for almost 2 years, I laugh when he talks about his 'NFL experience'.

I suppose he is banking on his 3 years of sitting on the bench in Baltimore and holding for extra points behind Lamar Jackson gave him some rare insights that others don't have about being successful in the NFL.

Griffin was another flawed player that like Dwayne Haskins was immature and selfish and came to the NFL thinking he had it made.

In reality neither one had the 'right stuff' in terms of game preparation, toughness or football IQ to be successful in the league.

Leave it to Danny Boy the GM to have made the decision in both situations to draft these players when better ones were available.
 
Sam is the most polished interview from a GM standpoint, that I’ve ever seen. He is robotic for sure, but he will NEVER create controversy.
