I don't recall CaliFan feeling that particular about who the owner could be. I thought he mainly stuck to his drive-by lol-ings.
 
I just hope IrepDC finds this place and can continue to lecture me on lacking football knowledge when I agreed with the decision to trade Chase Young. We also had any avatar bet, he said Haskins would be a top 10 QB. Everyone is wrong, it's more fun to laugh at the posters who were arrogant as well as wrong.

Gameday is live chat...so the actual thread is dead on game day

This past weekend was my first and i watch the games on youtube tv and in another window i had chat running. Its cool seeing the little popups of each message while i was in the youtube tv window watching the game, but i couldnt turn the notification noise off. In settings i turned off all notification sounds, but everytime someone posted id get a little popup with a DING. Love the popups, hate the dings watching the game. how do i turn them off?
 
If you click on your name and click on 'Preferences' you can control 'Notifications' including those for chat. I don't know if you can separately turn off notifications in terms of audio, but play around with it. That might also be a browser setting...

I generally log into chat. If I don't feel like chatting, I just put my laptop down. I don't get audio alerts.
 
If there were specific threads you folks previously loved, feel free to recreate them here. As long as we don’t have longstanding threads that already exist on those topics, knock yourselves out. It’s that kind of place.

The travelling koozy was extra special lol. I highly doubt that one willever live again. The old ESers I'm sure remember lol
 
it’s a forum. Start whatever threads you want. I know that’s different from the environment some came from. Talk. Discuss. Post what you want. That’s what we are here for.

I keep forgetting who you are because of the different name and avatar.
I only went with the truck from maximum overdrive so people might recognize me, it's not like I'm addicted to that movie or anything.
